Fonda plays a reporter who is sleeping with him that night. When she goes to get Vincent a glass of water, she is grabbed from behind by one of the henchmen and handgagged. He holds his hand firmly over her mouth as the two goons go after Vincent. At one point they even attempt to slit her throat. The handgagging lasts around a minute and a half, with some excellent cloe-ups of a terrified Bridget, especially when one of the villains tries to cut her throat. A very well-done, underappreciated four- star scene. |

She isn't bound when they place her in the box. About eighty minutes later, Tierney, playing a cop on the kidnappers' trail, is tricked and waylaid by the main perp during an interrogation. She's next shown at the burial site: duct-tape gagged, with her wrists lashed together over her head and tied to a rope around a tree trunk she kneels beside. |

After the commercial, she's still tied and gagged as she is dragged into a saloon where the bad guys try to sell her. The gag is removed around the 25 minute mark, but she's shown with her hands tied for a few more minutes until the hero comes to her rescue. Elizabeth is cleave gagged with a dirty white cloth and her wrists are tied in front. When she's first shown in the coffin, her gag is reasonably tight, but by the time the scene switches to inside the saloon, the gag has become a loosey. |
