Blazing Saddles |
Day: Tuesday January 22 2008 |
Time: 5 p.m. CST |
Channel: AMC |
Record number: 1578 Title: Blazing Saddles (1974) Medium: Movie Actress: Madeline Kahn Description: A little more than midway through, her Dietrich-inspired saloon singer character is tied standing, ungagged, wearing a black lace teddy, stockings, and garters, with her arms down at her sides by a rope around her midsection to a pot-bellied stove. Although the lead baddie (Harvey Korman) pretends to slap her across the face to shut her up when she starts singing to mock him, it's obvious that he doesn't really hit her, so as not to detract from the comic nature of the scene. Short scene, little or no struggling, occurs at 1 hour 4 minutes in a 1 hour 35 minute broadcast on UK BBC with no adverts. |

CSI: Miami |
Day: Tuesday January 22 2008 |
Time: 1pm est |
Channel: A&E |

Record number: 11775 Title: CSI: Miami Medium: TV Series Actress: Megan Follows, Unknown Description: Episode: "Whacked" (3.23) concerning a murderer on Death Row, convicted for the axe murder of a woman and strangulation of her partner. The victims were bound hands in front with duct tape and gagged with same. Flashback scenes, good quality, onscreen gagging of the female. A second couple (Megan Follows) is attacked later in the episode, the husband axed to death. When Horatio first arrives at the scene, he enters the apartment and examines the husband's body. He then goes over to the woman, lying on the floor face up, hands taped in front, mouth taped and, so the others already there think, dead. Horatio spots she isn't dead, shouts for help, and peels the tape off her mouth. Later, sitting outside an ambulance, she recounts her story. The flashback shows her being menaced, hands taped but as yet ungagged. As she pleads for her life, tape is pressed onto her mouth in a very good close-up. She survives because she passes out as the attacker tries to strangle her, and then leaves her for dead. |

Wolf Lake |

Time: 3pm est |
Channel: SciFI |

Record number: 6099 Title: Wolf Lake Medium: TV Series Actress: Mary Elizabeth Winstead Description: Episode: "Tastes Like Chicken" (1.4) Sophia Donner (Winstead) is kidnapped, thrown in a closet, bound hand and foot, and gagged with silver duct tape. She's wearing an off-the-shoulder minidress and (until her female captor removes them) glasses. Her hands are tied in front, and while they're linked to her ankles, it's clear that she could remove her gag without difficulty. Still, good sport that she is, she instead mmmphs helplessly as the villainess taunts her. There's a small hole in the gag, which allows her to drink water through a straw at one point. A bit later, we see her tied in the same position, having been moved to a bathtub which the villainess proceeds to fill with icewater. There's no longer a hole in the gag at this point, and her glasses are back on. She's eventually rescued by a guy. Fairly long scene, with good close-ups. |
