Record number: 4328 Title: Häxan (1922) aka Haxan aka Witchcraft Through the Ages aka The Witches aka Hecksen Medium: Movie Actress: Unknown Description: Initially a Scandinavian silent film, this film was re-released in the 60s with a voice-over by beat novelist William Burroughs and a jazzy score by Jean-Luc Ponte. It's a quasi-documentary which still packs a punch even after 80 years. There are several notable scenes. In the first a nude woman is seen from the back with her wrists chained behind her neck; in another, an accused witch with is strung up by her wrists; in a third, another accused witch is locked seated in some sort of box with holes for her head, hands and feet to stick out. |

Dressed in a black bra & panties Brooks lies on her back on the bed and allows Zane to tie her wrists together above her head with a black leather strap. They then proceed to make love, and she loses her scant clothing in the process, bringing her bound arms down around her partners shoulders. Later the couple find themselves shipwrecked alongside a shiphand and a love triangle develops. Driven insane by jealousy Zane kidnaps Brook about 80m into the film. As he talks to her the camera revels she is stood outside their wooden shelter, hands tied behind her back with rope and cleve gagged with a rolled white cloth. A noose around her neck is tethered to the top of the post she is standing against. Zane taunts her and reminds her she was similarly tied during one of their 'games' in 2001. Then as the men fight over her Brook uses her foot to pull what looks like a beer crate in front of her and climbs on it. Rubbing her face against the top of the post she dislodges the gag and then uses her teeth to free her tether from the post. With her hands still tied behind her she throws herself at Zane pushing him over then runs off with the other man. When we see her again she is untied. She is wearing a yellow hooded fleece and green sarong skirt. |

Record number: 2874 Title: The Perfect Tenant (2000) Medium: Movie Actress: Stacy Hogue Description: Direct-to-video thriller starring Maxwell Caulfield as a psycho who gets revenge on Linda Purl and her family. Hogue plays Purl's teenage daughter, who is suspicious of him. When he catches on, he kidnaps her, handgagging her as he takes her out of the house. When Purl gets a call from Caulfield, she hears Hogue mmmphing over the phone. When she goes to the house Caulfield has her daughter in, she is taken to the kitchen, where Hogue is standing on a table, her hands tied behind her back, her feet tied, and gagged with a huge strip of duct tape. She also has a noose around her neck attached to the ceiling. In the climax of the scene, Caulfield tries to slide the table from under Hogue's feet, and Purl is at the other end of the table. There is a happy ending for Hogue. The whole scene lasts over five minutes, with many nice shots of Hogue, particularly during the climax of the scene. She does plenty of mmmphing, not so much struggling. Great scene, unless you prefer intricate rope work; then skip it. Great video box art too, which has a picture of Hogue's gagged face. Ms. Hogue's feet are clad in only white socks and bound together. This scene should please those who like socks because there are plenty of close-ups as she is attempting to balance herself on the table. The scenes occur in the last half hour. |
