The acting realistic, and she gets to look roughed up and dirty. |

| Title: A Time To Kill (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Sandra Bullock Description: She has been assisting a lawyer defending a race victim and is stopped at night by police who just happen to also be Klansmen. She is bundled into the police car and taken to the woods where a Klan meeting is in progress. We see her wrists bound in front as she is taken from the car and then a close-up of her wrists being tied above her head as she stands facing a tree. Her clothes are torn and she is told that she is going to be left there, naked, to die in the sun the following day if not previously killed by wild animals during the night. Later one of the Klansmen relents and returns to rescue her. He wraps his coat around her and alarms her by producing a knife, but then uses it cut to the rope fastening her to the tree. He carries her, wrists still bound in front, to his truck. Not as good a scene as it sounds (apart from the close-ups of tying her wrists to the tree) as most of the other shots are of her face, and arms still in the sleeves of her dress, while she is being threatened. Not well lit as at night and she looks as if she has been beaten. If Bullock was really naked during the filming any shots showing this were removed. | Title: National Security (2003) Medium: Movie Actress: Mari Morrow Description: About 25 minutes in, security guard Martin Lawrence comes across her going through the files in a darkened warehouse office. It seems she has a fetish for men in uniform, so she does anything but object when Lawrence suggests she strip-search herself and then, with her in her underwear, cuffs her wrists over her head around a ceiling pipe. Unfortunately for her, at that moment the shooting starts, and Lawrence has to rush to partner Steve Zahn's aid, leaving her to dodge a bullet coming in through the office window and opine that "this isn't turning me on!" in one brief shot, and then to plaintively ask, "Earl?"(the name of Lawrence's character) when things fall strangely silent-because Zahn and Lawrence have driven off, forgetting her. In the beginning she wears a pink knitted blouse and a short orange and white skirt, and strips to a pink bra and panties. As implied above, she isn't gagged. |

| Title: Double Jeopardy (1999) Medium: Movie Actress: Ashley Judd Description: Just under 50 minutes in, she's being escorted back to prison by her parole officer (Tommy Lee Jones), who, after parking his car on a ferry, decides he can use a cup of coffee, but apparently doesn't want to buy one for his charge. He leaves her sitting in the car's front passenger seat with her right wrist handcuffed to the old Ford's protruding type outside door handle-and the car keys dangling in the ignition lock. Once he's out of sight, she takes a quick look around and figures she can break the door handle off and escape if she can manage to run it up against a standpipe on the ferry's deck. She fires the car up and spends the next few minutes ramming into the cars behind and ahead of her, ultimately pushing the one in front off the deck. By the time Jones figures out what she's trying to do and comes running, she nearly has the handle off, and is shown frantically pulling at the cuffs as he gets back to the car. After he smashes the window and hops in, she hits the gas and sends them flying off the deck into the water. There's a good shot of her straining at the cuffs as the car goes under, followed by an underwater sequence of Jones struggling with the handcuff key as it continues to descend. |

| Title: The Bone Collector (1999) Medium: Movie Actress: Olivia Birkelund Description: Lindsay Rubin (Birkelund) gets kidnapped by the serial killer along with her husband, who's simply shot and buried. At about 18 minutes into the film, she's shown being led through an underground steam tunnel by the masked killer, gagged with duct tape and her wrists in a pair of early-1900s style handcuffs. In a sequence that begins about ten minutes later and continues for about ten minutes more, she's shown several times with her hands cuffed over her head and her ankles roped together, sitting in front of a large steam pipe the killer has opened and swung around towards her, making obvious the fate that awaits her if the police don't decipher the cryptic clues to her whereabouts he's given them in time. |

It's a little dark and her eye is black from crying with eye-makeup on. She is killed, but not on screen. |
