Record number: 11336 Title: Les Yeux sans Visage (1959) aka Eyes without a face Medium: Movie Actress: Juliette Mayniel, Béatrice Altariba Description: A black and white French movie about a deranged doctor who despaired by the disfigured face of her daughter will kidnap young women to surgically remove their faces and transplant them to her daughters. The first victim Edna (Juliette Mayniel) is chloroformed by the doctor at about minute 40 into the movie. She is then taken to the secret surgical suite in his mansion. We see her in a surgical table with her wrists in medical straps attached to each side. Presumably her feet are also secured by they are beneath the sheets. She is drugged to a deep sleep and her face is meticulously dissected with a surgical knife. Latter she is shown with all of her face in bandages, not bound but kinky nevertheless. The second victim-to-be is Paulette (Béatrice Altariba) who is actually helping the investigators to trap the killer. She is seen in the same predicament strapped to the surgical table (minute 1:35), her face framed by surgical drapes. The daughter who wears a full porcelain mask, decides to stop the madness and cuts her straps letting her go free. We have a close up of a strap around her belly and the left wrist cuff holding her. |

This occurs when she is in the restroom on a plane. Sometime after the 35min mark, Kelly and a brunette gal are left tied back to back with their husbands. They are left in a pantry for a couple of minutes. Only bonds that are shown are the rope that is aroung the brunettes legs. You don't see her hands, since they are bound behind her. You never see any bonds on Kelly |
