As I type this (Dec 2005) the official schedule date isn't set, so, this alert is based on there being no change in the episode order & the SciFi channel *not* messing with their Friday night schedule in late January &/or early February. ANYway... based on a single publicity photo... http://www.gateworld.net/atlantis/s2/graphics/2x10_04.shtml ...Teyla (Rachel Luttrell) has her wrists cuffed or tied behind her back. Let's hope there's more to it when we get to watch the full episode. The guest star is leading her somewhere at gunpoint. Maybe it's to a cave full of coils of rope & piles of rags! :-) |

Record number: 9014 Title: No Way Out (1950) Medium: Movie Actress: Linda Darnell Description: Outstanding and lenghty handgag for an amazingly cute Linda Darnell, in that J. Mankiewicz classic drama from 1950. Near the end of the movie, the bad guy, Richard Widmark, and his deaf mute associate, await her in her flat in order to give her a lesson (this violent racist thinks she's much too friendly with an african-american doctor he especially hates). Wearing skirt and heels, she is first grabbed from behind as she returns home. Quick scene, dark light. Widmark does the talking, his brother the handgagging. Then comes the great moment: after Widmark has punched the girl in the stomach, he asks his brother to put his hand on her mouth, while he speaks to her (she is now seated). There comes one of the best handgags in movie history: a lenghty scene in close-up, excellent lighting, with beautiful facial expressions of distress from the lovely brunette. She looks at Widmark, frightened, turns her head back, with the hand of the other guy still firmly clamped over her mouth. Truly, this scene belongs to the hall of fame! |

| I posted this to the Discussion Forum on 03 Feb.
I just saw the promo for next week's episode of STARGÅTE SG-1, "Off the Grid", & there's a quick flash of the entire SG-1 ---including SAM!!--- captured by the Lucian Alliance & restrained. It's one of those kneeling-in-the-dirt-in-a-row-while-the-villains-gloat scenes. Sam has some sort of leather collar around her neck & she doesn't seem to be enjoying herself. No other details of their bonds are visible in the ad, but obviously we'll learn more next Friday (the 10th). And there's more good news! SG-1 is "undercover", dressed in leather costumes. They're rather Hercules/Xena-like, & Sam looks mighty fine! |

The bad guys' tunneling has caused gas to fill the basement where they are bound, so unless the pair are rescued, they'll die from asyphyxia. Several good closeups, in a lengthy scene. |
