Three are nude except for panties, three are cleave-gagged with black cloth, and one of the sequences goes on for quite a while. At the 10-minute mark, the hero discovers Amy (Killian) suspended by a chain from a tree branch and quickly releases her. She's nude except for a pair of blue panties. There's a large, bloody gash on her chest. 34 minutes in, we get a couple quick shots (less than four seconds total) of a brunette in a car with her hands tied in front, screaming through a black cleave gag. She's wearing street clothes. 43 minutes in, we see a flashback of cleave-gagged and undressed Killian. There's a slightly different flashback shot of this scene at the 83-minute mark. The real fun starts 48 minutes in, when Darby (Avital) is grabbed by unseen hands and dragged beneath her vehicle. When we next see her, five minutes later, she's been suspended in the now-familiar fashion. Once again, she's nude except for panties and a black cleave gag, and over the next few minutes, we're treated to many facial closeups, closeups of her flailing bare feet, and full-body shots as she tries to free herself. Lindsey Stoddart gets handcuffed by both wrists to the armrest of a car door. Begins around 1:23 |

Record number: 3980 Title: Blackbeard the Pirate (1952) Medium: Movie Actress: Linda Darnell Description: The lovely Ms. Darnell plays Edwina Mansfield, seemingly a damsel in distress on Blackbeard's pirate ship, to whom there's much more than meets the eye. Henry Morgan tries to lure Blackbeard into a trap by filling a merchantmen with scores of his soldiers. Just when Morgan is getting the upper hand in their ship-to-ship slugfest, Blackbeard plays his trump card -- he orders Edwina Mansfield (Darnell), Morgan's niece bound to the mizzen mast taffrail. The plan works and Morgan breaks off the attack. Lots of shots of the lovely brunette bound with her arms spread in a four o'clock and eight o'clock position. Close-ups show a single thick rope was looped around one wrist, across her body and then looped around her other wrist and tied off at both ends; not a very convincing tie at all. Scene starts about 75 minutes into the film and lasts for a minute or two. |

Robin Tunney shown tape-gagged in extreme closeup to start the scene as the camera widens. Her hands are tied behind with plastic strips. The bad guy talks to her for a while, allowing multiple closeups and camera angles. Later, about 30 minutes in, she's shown burning the cable tie off with the furnace. After some more small talk when the bad guy comes back, she whacks him with a chair when he turns his back. In the last scene, more nice closeups and camera angles. Well done all around. |

| "Mr. Monk gets jury duty" Repeat of last night's episode -- roomful of 11 jurors (I counted 7 men and 4 women) get tied to their chairs with cable ties and gagged with black tape wrapped around their heads by a renegade woman juror, who incidentally is a little brunette cutie pie. I tuned in partway through this scene last PM and didn't see all of it, so there may be more. I know that at least some of the gaggings are shown onscreen, and there's at least a few good closeups of the women. Plenty of good struggling and mmmphing from all involved. Happens toward the end of the episode. |
