Record number: 2669 Title: Profiler Medium: TV Series Actress: Lori Petty Description: Episode: "Venom", Part 2 (1.22) In usual Profiler fashion the scene, for the most part, is darkly lit and with no real good camera shots. Sam is knocked out and when she comes to she is blinded and surrounded by poisonous creatures. She calls out for help but the only one around is Lori who is sitting on the floor with her feet bound and her hands tied over her head. There is a sack over her head, and all she can tell Sam is "MMMMMPPPHHH!!". Lori makes so much noise that Jack tells her to shut up several times. When the VCTF shows up to save the day there is a brief, well lit shot of the bag being pulled off her head to show her tape gagged. |

Record number: 1637 Title: Avalanche (1994) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Deanna Milligan Description: Shortly after being handgagged by The Hasselhoff Himself about 70' in, there's an approximately minute-long scene with Ms. Milligan bound to a chair with ropes around her torso and wrists behind, and sporting a yellow-and-white overgag. I can't tell whether her ankles are bound. Goodly bit of vocalization. |

Record number: 9792 Title: Angel (1999) Medium: TV Series Actress: Amy Acker Description: Episode: "Why We Fight" (5.13) In this partial flashback episode, a vampire returns after six decades to avenge his martyrdom (as he sees it) during WWII by taking Angel's friends hostage and threatening to kill them. Yes, it's about as forced as it sounds, but it does lead to the full treatment for Fred (Acker). We first see her tied to a chair at the 15-minute mark (including commercials). While the three quick shots at this point -- two long shots and one close-up -- total all of three seconds, they do show off her cute skirt, legs, hands-to-chair-arms bondage, and a surprisingly credible detective gag. Cut to the 30-minute mark. Just before the commercial, we see Fred standing on a chair: still gagged, tied hands behind (though see below) and ankles together, with a noose around her neck. Lamentably, her colleagues Wesley and Gunn are in a similar predicament on either side of her. Back from commercial, the scene continues. Finally, just to keep the every-15-minute thing going, the sequence concludes with a final scene beginning at the 45-minute mark. There's a lot more didactic dialogue than distressed damsel, and there's also one unfortunate shot from behind in which it looks very much as though Fred's wrists aren't actually tied at all. Still, we do get a few rather nice close-ups of Acker (who pouts nicely) and her gag as the action unfolds, so far be it from me to consider this sequence unworthy. |

Title: Urban Legend (1998) Medium: Movie Actress: Alicia Witt, Danielle Harris Description: Long scene beginning about an hour and 25 minutes in, with Witt (wearing a black tank top) spread-eagled on a bed. Her hands are tied to the railing of the steel bed with grey rope. The mystery killer tape gags her with a short strip of wide black electrical tape, which is later removed. She then trys to bite the villain, who regags her. Lots of screaming and struggling. When this aired on USA, the scene came in later, due to commercials. I believe it popped around the last fifteen minutes. In any event, it occurs after Ms. Witt hears screaming from a building and rushes to help. Bonus: At around the 43' mark (USA), another young woman (Harris) is handgagged before meeting an untimely end. |

Title: John Carpenter's Vampires (1998) Medium: Movie Actress: Sheryl Lee Description: Sheryl Lee (from "Twin Peaks") is first seen lying naked on a bed, on her stomach. She's tied with white rope in an upper spreadeagle, each hand tied to one of the headposts, her crossed ankles tied together and secured to the foot of the bed. She is at first gagged with silver duct tape; then the gag is removed and she is handgagged for a while, until she agrees to talk with her captor. Later she is tied with her hands in front, again with white rope. No gag here, and no further restraints. She is now dressed in a blue unbottuned shirt, a sexy lowcut blouse, and a short black skirt. In the last scene Ms Lee's character, wearing the same clothes, is tied in a car with her hands above her head. No gag. Including commercials, the 3 scenes happen approximately between the .42-.45, .66-.68, and .84-.86 minutes marks, respectively. (give a minute in each end) |

Extended full treatment sequence |
Record number: 9711 Title: Haute Tension (2003) aka Switchblade Romance aka High Tension Medium: Movie Actress: Maïwenn Le Besco Description: Not long into the movie, Alex (Le Besco) is taken prisoner by the serial killer du jour, and it's up to Marie (De France) to save her. We first see Alex chained in a frontal hogtie on a bed, wearing an interesting gag that appears to be formed from a chain fed through plastic tubing. Marie finds her but can't unlock the chains or the gag, so it's off to the serial killer's van with Alex. Much struggling ensues, captured in nice close-ups. (In one scene, the killer douses her with bourbon and lights a match, and she's clearly not too happy about it.) |

Extended full treatment sequence for two females (guy alert) in this Harrison Ford thriller. |
Record number: 11871 Title: Firewall (2006) Medium: Movie Actress: Virginia Madsen, Carly Shcroeder, Mary Lyn Rajskub Description: Madsen and Schroeder are the kidnapped wife and daughter of Harrison Ford in this thriller. The villains have taken Madsen and Shcroeder (along with Ford's son) hostage to force Ford to help them rob the bank. When Ford first comes home, he finds Madsen and Schroeder tied with cable ties and gagged with clear tape on the couch. He instantly ungags them. A little under an hour later the villains try doublecrossing Ford and take the hostages away in a van. When we see them in the van, they are bound and gagged as they originally were. Ford turns to Mary Lynn Rajskub for help but not before having to handgag her and tell her what's going on. He taps into a computer and takes back the money he robbed for them. Madsen is ungagged so she can talk to Ford over the phone but remains bound for most of the rest of the movie. Shcroeder stays gagged for a while longer until her brother starts hyperventilating and one of the crooks ungags them. A decent bunch of scenes and its neat to see clear tape used for a gag for a change of pace. First scene on the couch is at 17:20 (there 'bouts), not at the 30-minute mark. The next scene, in the van, is at 1:19:57, not at just under the hour mark. Incidently, this scene is AFTER the handgag scene with Mary Lynn Rajskub, not before. Virginia is ungagged & tossed out of the van at the 1:27:00 minute mark. We then see shots of Carly, still tape gagged, at the following times: 1:27:19, 1:28:00, 1:30:11 (for 3 quick shots of her in the background, as Virginia is trying to get their dog to quit barking at the kidnappers while they are driving) 1:31:22, 1:31:50, 1:32:45 and from 1:33:24 until 1:34:05, when she is ungagged. All remain bound for the next 5 minutes or so, then the rough & tumble climax begins & all are freed. |
