Record number: 862 Title: Fear (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Reese Witherspoon, Amy Brenneman Description: 86 minutes in, during the climactic scene, Ms. Brenneman's character and her husband are captured by their daughter's crazy ex-boyfriend. Both are handcuffed behind the back and gagged with duct tape. Brenneman's gagging and part of her binding occur onscreen. The bad news is that there's more husband gaggage than wife gaggage; the good news is that the bad guy carries the husband off eventually, leaving us with a few nice shots of Brenneman by herself. (She is saved by her son, who brings her the key to the cuffs in a sequence which is implied but not shown.) Earlier, at the 71-minute mark, the daughter (played by Ms. Witherspoon) is cornered in a bathroom stall, handgagged and fondled by her ex-boyfriend. Scene goes on for over a minute. |

Record number: 9126 Title: Jake 2.0 Medium: TV Series Actress: Marina Black Description: Episode: "The Tech" (1.1) Sarah Heywood (Black) Despite that, it's a good scene: Tight cleve with a white hankie, and she's wearing boots. Sure it'd be nice there was National Security Agency computer technician Jake Foley is accidentally injected with nanites, which give him superhuman powers. Jake's long-time crush, Sarah Heywood (Black) is kidnapped by IRA kidnappers who want the nanites that are in him. He comes to a cryogenics facility as directed. She is brought in unconcious, hands tied in front, ankles tied and gagged with a thick white cleave. She is dressed in a black jacket, short black shirt and black knee boots. There are a couple of good looks at her legs. There are also a couple of good closeups, but on the whole it's a pretty short scene as most of the action is focused on him battling the bad guys. After Jake triumphs, he removes her gag, but she still isn't awake. The backup forces shoo him out before he can untie her. |

Only problem is she's sleeping with a politician. So he ambushes them at a hotel. She has her wrists and ankles taped to the arms and legs of a chair. No gag but there is some nice struggling. The politician shares the scene also. Occurs in the last few minutes. Her shoes have been removed and there are close up shots of her stocking feet. This entry "Under Review" by the Editor. Be advised it may be in error and deleted in future. |

Record number: 12014 Title: Ties That Bind (2006) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Nicole de Boer Description: This made-for-Lifetime movie is a cautionary tale about *not* renting your guest house to psycho/nurses. (Always a sound policy.) Nicole plays Megan, the lawyer/wife, & Brian Krause (Leo on "Charmed") plays the doctor/husband. Sonya Salomaa plays Courtney, the psycho/nurse. In the last 15 minutes, Megan (dressed casually in jeans, t-shirt, sweater, hoodie, & boots) goes to confront Courtney in the guest house. Courtney pulls a syringe and Megan fades to unconsciousness as the movie fades to commercial. When next we see Megan, it's a closeup of her face. Silver duct tape is tightly plastered to her lips. The camera pulls back, & we (& she) discover she is spreadeagled to Courtney's bed (fully clothed as before), in leather medical restraints. Much struggling and m'mmpfhing ensues, in one of the best gloating scenes I've seen in years. Courtney to Megan: "It's no use fighting. I use those to restrain PCP freakouts." No closeups of the restraints, but we can tell she's really helpless. Numerous closeups of her tape-gagged face, and we can see that the tape is well-adhered to her face. A small sliver of tape repeatedly balloons as she pants & tries to scream. VERY convincing Damsel-in-Distress. Meanwhile, Courtney-the-psycho nurse is delivering a chilling monologue. At one point, she climbs on the bed and rests her head on the same pillow as Megan, & the director gives us a dual closeup. Nicole does an *outstanding* job of selling Megan's plight. Courtney delivers a second injection, & again Megan fades into unconsciousness. Later, something strange but wonderful happens: When hubbie comes to rescue Megan, her bonds have been changed! It's still the same hospital restraints, but now her wrists are cuffed together and to her ankles, and an additional of pair are strapped now around her elbows! The elbow cuffs and ankle cuffs are strapped to the bed and the wrist/ankle junction is a double "Y" of straps joined with rings. (I believe this is called "four point restraint" by nurses (psycho and otherwise).) Hubbie rips off the tape and frees her wrists and elbows, then Megan does a crunch and frees her ankles. Then it's off to the climax! |

| Don't know if this is anything, and the show has yielded nothing for us, but in today's New York Post, the plot summary is... "Melinda receives odd signal spirits that cause her to feel trapped and BOUND, but there is no ghost to be seen." Personally, I'm not confident, but here's hoping... |

Record number: 860 Title: The Perfect Daughter (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Bess Armstrong, Tracey Gold Description: Bess plays the mother of Tracey Gold, who is in trouble with the mob or something. They kidnap Bess and tie her and wrap her in duct tape and tape gag her. She is sitting on the couch when she is tied up and struggles and moans nicely. About five minutes in length, and in the last hour, if not the last 30 minutes. Tracey's character is seriously injured when she is hit by a car while running from the bad guys and is rendered unconscious. Following a trip to the hospital and surgery, she awakens and is securely chained to her bed and is intubated (i.e., has a tube in her mouth and throat). Apparently, she is chained so that she can't take the tube out of her mouth. She mmmphs a few times while in this situation. The tube serves as a king of altenative gag. The scene is a must for alternative gag, faux gag and medical bondage fans. |
