On second thought, the three women who were kidnapped by the family weren't really that young; they were in their thirties, but still attractive. Ms. DeMornay might play an older, married woman who decides to go on a camping trip with her girlfriends. The plot of the original "Mother's Day" movie deviated from those of most slasher films in that the victims were older, married women rather than nubile young college girls. The alpha female of the "Mother's Day" trio was a beautiful blonde who was one of the two survivors. She and her fellow survivor were bound and gagged on exercise equipment! They remained bound and gagged overnight, while the deranged family victimized their friend. |

Because i [and i hang my head in shame because it's a terrible, terrible film] watched until end and did they not get attacked right at the end by some other looney who the family were scared of and mentioned through the film? Good gags though gotta say that. |

It helps that Tara's handcuffed. They should've gagged her too because Tara is trying everything she can to guilt Lettie Mae into letting her go.' |

Tuesday September 01 12:16:22 2009 Re: 'Mother's Day' remake- more cast news |
That's strange. The IMDb page for Mother's Day does not have Rebecca de Mornay anymore. Also, splatter-fan Darren Lynn Bousman will be directing, so I'd expect this remake to be a thousand times more violent than the original. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1434435/fullcredits#cast Anyway, the scene in the original was surprisingly good. It was produced by Troma, which has made several movies with DiD scenes. I really like IMDb's details for the movie... (don't click on the links below if you want to see the movie, or the remake. They contain spoilers) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081186/keywords http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081186/goofs |

Oh, wait, Rebecca's name appears in IMDb's NewsDesk for the movie. My bad. |

In the original "Mother's Day" movie check out the gagged blonde girl on the exercise equipment. While she's struggling in certain shots her gag magically disappears then it reappears. At least that's the way I remember it. It's been years since I saw that scene. |

That's the way I remember it too - the old cliched "Surprise, it isn't over, and they don't get away" ending. Some werewolf-type thing jumps out and the movie ends. That's one of the reasons I liked the end of "Alien" and "Aliens" so much. Good girl wins, really. |

Movie from Chile about a masked crimefighter has a scene where he's pulling a red cloth gag away from a pretty captive's mouth. Being released on dvd Oct. 6 I believe. Looks like a bad, cheap movie; just noting a scene. |

Season 3 starts airing in Canada tomorrow evening on Showcase. First 2 seasons had scenes so should be a possibility for more |

I actually remember the blonde's cleve gag with packing being thick in one shot and paper thin in another. The other brunette who was tied to the other exercise machine (was it a bike?) had an OTM gag. If I recall correctly, she the brunette ends up being the stronger of the two survivors who look for revenge. Her character at the beginning of the film was that of the "the quiet one, withdrawn" She's the one who pours Drano down one of the throat. |

There were gag continuity problems. In one shot, the beautiful blonde is gagged with a thick cloth tied between her teeth; in another shot, the gag is noticeably thinner. If I'm not mistaken, she had a cloth stuffed in her mouth as well. I think her character played a woman who'd married a rich man; she is shown wearing a bikini by a poolside in an early scene. |

Hadji wrote: > There were gag continuity problems. I can confirm all of the continuity errors you mention; however, in the close-ups of the blonde where the cleave gag has gone paper-thin, her mouth seems somewhat "stuffed". Perhaps she curled the stuffing in her mouth a little bit during the takes. |

In one fast shot as the blond is trying to scoot herself free, the camera, which is not focused on her, for a second catches her face in a side shot coming into the frame & you can see she is not gagged. But a second later, when the shot focuses on her, she is gagged once more. The glimpse of her with no gag is very brief & I'm sure was not supposed to be in the shot. And yes, I believe both bound & gagged damsels survive. The only one who died was the one who was taken outside & raped & never bound & gagged. Both were gagged with packing and a white cloth over it and in each case the gag changes from sorta OTM-ish (never a "true" OTM though) to a thin cleave with lips together & back again. |

Tuesday September 01 20:32:03 2009 Fantasy Island |
They are starting to show old Fantasy Island reruns here in So Cal on KDOC channel 10 for charter cable users. I cant wait for the old episode with Stefanie Kramer getting a quick handgag from a dude with a black glove who turns out to be Dick Sargent. The episode is about Toni Tennile being some kind of heiress to an inheritance. I don't know the episode name. Another killer hand gag scene with Karen Valentine in a white dress and heels. Unfortuanately, don't know the episode title. Start recording folks!!!!! |

As a true gag lover who is also a scene player, I can certify (!!) that the best cleaves are those which ar eheld by the back teeth and slightly pull the lips back. |

I wonder how many takes this scene required? The prop man may not have paid attention to closely to how he was gagging the ladies, being under intense time constraints. Since the ladies were gagged thoroughly and realistically, their gags may have become uncomfortable after a while. |

37 minutes in (with commercials). Hands cuffed to headboard, no gag, unmentionables and heels. Leary throws lit matches at her, and she uses her heel to smother the flame. Leary then leaves her there with keys in her top. |
