Thursday September 17 02:09:40 2009 Fall TV? |
Just looked quickly through the new fall shows, and wow, what a disaster for possible Did action. I didn't see anything of interest among the new shows. Some of the returners might be our best shot. Quick rundown: Mondays: "Castle" (10 p.m., ABC) on ABC would be my pick for a female lead to get the treatment. The Stana Katic character needs a gag in the worst way. "CSI: Miami" and "Lie to Me" could be possibles, but likely with guests. Tuesdays: "The Forgotten" (10 p.m., ABC) could be a possible. A network of citizen volunteers works to identify the victims of unsolved murder cases and catch the killers in this crime-drama series. Couple hot females in the cast. The two NSIS shows air from 8 to 10 on CBS and are always possibles, but NCIS has cooled big time since they became a ratings winner. I liked it better in the first couple seasons when they were tying and gagging people. "Melose Place" (9 p.m., Fox) could offer something, but it would likely need to last a season before any phychos move in, like the original. Wednesday: Not seeing much, expect returner "Criminal Minds" which usually pops a few extreme scenes. Thursday: Would like to see something from the "Mentalist" (10 p.m., CBS) with either of the female leads (Amanda Righetti or Robin Tunney). Friday: The CBS block, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, and Numbers are possibles but I'm not recording those so I'll rely on others. Saturday, Sunday: Nothing I can see. I might have missed some shows, but overall, cable entries might be the best bet in 2009-10, or mid-season replacements. Below, Stana Katic (Castle) and Rochelle Aytes (Forgotten) and Michelle Borth (Forgotten). |

Does anybody know how soon until the 4 ladies will be tied & gagged? Just curious. |

Thursday September 17 03:40:54 2009 Holly Hunter's mouth censored |
On tonight's episode of "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (which was a repeat) Holly Hunter (who had appeared as a guest in a previous episode) appeared in the latest installment of an ongoing sketch called "Celebrities read excerpts from Craig's new book". Holly read an excerpt from the book, but when she said a "bad" word, a graphic that looked like a gag appeared over her mouth. The "gag" was in the colors of the French flag while "Ooo La La" was said over the censored word (that is because this effect was first done on Bastille Day, the French holiday). West coasters can still catch this tonight. It is on CBS from 12:35 AM to 1:35 AM pacific time. The scene occurs after the opening monologue. |

Thursday September 17 04:13:02 2009 Bondage Karma! |
The recent post about Valerie kidnapping Stephanie on the Hardy Boys got me to thinking about Bondage Karma. See Val bound and gagged Steph and girlfriends and then later got tied up, but no gag, on One Day at a Time. I wonder if you guys know of an actress who did some tying only to have herself meet the ropes later on. Maybe it happened right away or years later. The former happened to Lucille Ball on I Love Lucy. She bound and gagged a rival dancer in the episode The Diet but then just a few episodes later got her payback while babysitting the twins in the Amateur Hour episode as well as the Lucy Cries Wolf episode. Kim Darby got her little friends to tie up sexy Yoman Rand on Star Trek episode, Miri. Then years later she was tied up by some little munchkins in the TV horror movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark(which is being remade). Are there anymore examples of bondage karma? |

Matt wrote: > Are there anymore examples of bondage karma? There should be NUMEROUS instances of "bondage karma"; most actresses are bound and gagged at least once during their thespian careers. This is especially true for actresses who star in crime dramas, action shows, and soap operas. |

Wow, I'd not heard that her gag scene had continued,I grabbed the one from last week when she was gagged the first time but no one has mentioned anything about the scene continuing till this, so I didn't bother watching it at all this week, as if anyone mentions anything good I just grab the SoapNet airing later that nite (I do not get network channels on my satellite service yet) Very odd...usually a gag scene of ANY sort is mentioned several times at least once it happens....we must be getting slow in our old age. Oh well, luckily there will be the SoapNet airings this weekend of the week's episodes. So Miss Cleo, her gag stint happened again on Monday and from your post I take it Wednesday also? Nothing on Tuesday? |

JP wrote: > So Miss Cleo, her gag stint happened again on Monday and > from your post I take it Wednesday also? Nothing on Tuesday? My apologies, JP, I misspoke. The gag stint was late in Monday's episode and early in Tuesday's episode. I have not seen Wednesday's or today's (Thursday). I planned to catch the SoapNet encore yesterday but missed it. I plan to check tonight's SoapNet encore to see if anything happened today. And yes, I too was surprised there wasn't any discussion of it here. I think some of us (myself definitely included) have gotten a little acccustomed to everyone else finding and reporting scenes here, so if we don't hear any word, we assume nothing happened. |

Thursday September 17 13:59:20 2009 Community |
Today's Chicago Tribune has a photo from the new NBC comedy "Community" showing what appears to be a gagged protest march where the marchers are wearing black tape gags. At the front is the show's attractive female lead. Looks like there are other women in the march as well. |

Tapemaster wrote: > On tonight's episode of "The Late, Late Show with > Craig Ferguson"... Wow. Seriously? That was about two or maybe three frames, total. How desperate are you that this merits a mention? I know there's no minimum requirement, but I think that easily falls in the "Insignificant" category. |

They use that all the time on the show, and they're not meant to look like gags, just that they're hiding the mouth behind the French flag. I didn't see Holly's, but maybe the size and positioning made it look like a gag. But really, the effect is a big nothingburger, concerning this forum. |
