As a fan of water peril, I'm actually pretty surprised at just how many bathtub damsel scenes there are in live-action dramas. This trope is practically non-existent in animated media. I guess bathtub is just easier to film a water peril than anywhere else.

Alison Sweeney Potential Upcoming Scene
The trailer for the upcoming Hallmark Mystery Hannah Swenson mystery just put out a preview and it shows Allison’s Sweeney’s titular character getting dragged off (presumably unconscious and/or handgagged) after being chased by the villain. You only see her from the feet down but the potential is definitely there.

Oh please let this pan out in the best way possible. She needs a duct tape gag so badly.

Sounds like one to avoid, then.

The one taunting scene I think that sometimes gets overlooked is from "That Darn Cat" (1965). Grayson Hall is sitting OTM gagged in a chair, while the 2 crooks openly discuss what they are going to do with her. One wants to get rid of her right away, while the other tries to calm him down. The leader of the two says, "Well, now to tell you the truth, she's been a pretty good girl. No hysteria-ville. No gas. No struggling. She's got consideration for other people's problems." He says that while he is rubbing her neck and under her chin. She just closes her eyes, helpless to do anything at that point. I know it may not be direct taunting and mocking her, but at the same time he is letting her know who is in charge. I have always enjoyed that scene. (I was watching that movie with a relative years ago and that scene came up and the relative said that she found that really irritating...lol) I definitely feel that it's an underrated taunt.

Titane
In a French movie title Titane (Titanium) in the trailer it shows an actress shoving a white clothe into her mouth. Unknown reasons and it was for just a split second

A couple of oldies from my "formative years"
In "The Mystery of the Broken Statues" episode of "The Adventures of Superman," Phyllis Coates is pulled out of the car villains have used to take her to an airfield. As his henchman holds the B&G Ms. Coates by her upper arms, the main villain says something like "Maybe when you get to the cabin you can get Miss Lane to play Canasta with you." "Maybe so," the thug snickers before pushing their captive toward the waiting plane.
In "The most Dangerous Man Alive," near the end of Debra Paget's marathon time in bondage she's discovered in a closet by another woman. Although the second woman had no part in Debra's abduction, she sees her as a rival for the man she wants herself and therefore does nothing to help the victim. She says a few things I can't remember, but just the image of her standing imperiously over the bound woman was very stirring. When she's said her piece, she closes the closet door on poor Debra.

Alison Sweeney potential scenes are like Charlie Brown and the football, but this one looks like a sure thing. Of course not. But clearly she's been KO'd at some type of costume party, and hopefully the partner won't arrive for the save until after she wakes up gagged as the bad guy details his plans.

Airs August 8. Now if only those Jill Wagner movies would show some potential.

Nice to see Jessica finally taste a gag, I think this is her first despite a batch of Lifetime movies.

Anna Marie could be the gagger here, but with a guy in the mix too hoping she gets double crossed and winds up B&G too.

Trailer reveals AMD will be the gagger as she's fighting Jessica in the finale.

Chloroform Poured Onto Bed
Does anyone remember a scene where someone pours chloroform onto a bed and then knocks the girl out by pushing her face into the spot on the bed that was just soaked? It’s some Spanish telenovela

In the Eighties crime thriller Criminal Act, Catherine Bach and Charlene Dallas, a former Miss California, are bound and gagged in a van by the villains. Ms. Dallas struggles energetically against her bonds and makes very indignant sounds through her gag. One of her captors is a midget, who taunts her by saying that she cannot protest her captivity on account of her gag.

Two clarifications:
The film "Titane" is the winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes 2021.
(And here we can indulge in the number of films with female bondage scenes that have been awarded.)
The French word Titane means both titanium and titan.

Re: Alison Sweeney Potential Upcoming Scene
It'd be such a tease if there was nothing bondage-wise from this at all. We shall see come August 8th. If she gets a full treatment scene I expect this place to go haywire.

Kaitlyn Dever's New Thriller
Kaitlyn, who had an intense(great gag though)scene in Unbelievable a few years back is going to lead a new thriller promisingly titled No One Will Save You. Plot details are sparse atm but apparently the film will have little to no dialogue, which is intriguing and conjures up all sorts of DiD scenarios. Something to follow as it develops with great interest.

Interesting that at least a few on this board share the Alison Sweeney scene hope. Not sure why she's on my list, just been around so long and has aged very well. She had that brief scene 20 years ago, but as with many soap stars, she looks better today. Kinda like my hoping Kellie Martin would get a scene, and after a bunch of near misses, finally did.
