Pretty decent handgag for Olivia Welch an hour into the final chapter of this horror trilogy on Netflix. Both she and Kiana Maderia are chained as well. Later on, Welch is tied up, in a continuation of her bonds from the last chapter. |

Saturday July 17 00:32:18 2021 Best Surprises from Old Days |
Speaking of the good old days, which scenes were the most pleasant surprises? I still remember sitting up straight when I was watching Ulee's Gold with my sister. Never thought a movie with Peter Fonda would have a triple damsel scene. Then suddenly someone asks "Got any duct tape..." |

The scenes for me that were the best surprises were A Life Less Ordinary and Palmetto. I had the former on one day (not sure why, given my age at the time) and imagine my surprise when Cameron Diaz's scene came up. Palmetto I only caught because I remember in the late 90s on Showtime there was a preview for it that had a snippet of Gina Gershon's scene, which made me catch the entire film when it aired and Gina's scene in it became an instant favorite. These two scenes are still among my absolute favorites. It also wasn't exactly a surprise as I remember seeing bits of the scene in the previews I caught on TV as a kid, but when I watched Hellraiser III and Terry Farrell's scene in it came up that scene really helped spark my love of DIDs. That was the scene that awoke it for me. |

Of course there were many more disappointments than pleasant surprises, but I remember going to see "Big Trouble in Little China" because I thought it would be a modern action movie with martial arts. The martial arts were generally a disappointment, but the bondage stuff made up for it. I didn't expect a scene in "From Beyond," even though Stuart Gordon and Barbara Crampton had come through in "Re-Animator," but hooray for Hollywood, there was Ms. Crampton chained up in dominatrix gear! Though it's nice to know almost everything that's coming down the road these days, I do sort of miss those "Whoa!" moments too. |

If you notice, it’s rather obvious that the director, for whatever reason, wants this incredible ungagging to be filmed. The close up. The captor specifically peel the tape from the edge of it, so as to create the maximum pull from Marny’s lips. Usually, you’d switch where you grab the tape as to prevent hurting the captive, but he just pulled from the edge all the way and ever slowly as well. |

I was a young teen and watching tv with parents. The movie is terrible by the way. Like a terrible flick really. It goes nonsensical sci-fi out of the blue towards the end. Out of the blue there is a great tapegag scene for the hot brunette in coat and boots (a combo I like), gagged on screen by her evil double. So out of the blue and gratuitous it was awesome. I don't know if it qualifies as "good old days" because it's from the '90s |

Saturday July 17 18:34:41 2021 Flaming ball gag scene |
Very odd ball gag scene on UK ITV2 channel Apocalypse Wow (game show set in a BDSM dungeon) There is a brief discussion before the game about what a ball gag is, best bit for me is when Kimberly Wyatt says “gag me”. The gags themselves are kind of hidden behind long sticks. Series so may be better scenes in future. |

Rob Zombie of all people(!)is set to direct a new version of the classic show, apparently a passion project for him. Rob has been partial to DiD action in his past output so could be something in it possibly. Presumably a lighter approach than his usual full-on blood and gore. Interesting to see the casting when announced. |
