Are they showing the full version, or the bastardized version that usually shows up on TV these days? |

Saturday July 11 08:24:15 2009 Harper's Island Finale |
Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings folks ,but the season finale of Harpers island is a bust,in fact worse than a bust ,it contains a putz scene .The second of the 13 part series. Despite a couple of really good set ups the show was a complete and total let down in the DID stakes ,nothing at all for us ,nada except for the brief consensual scene i described earlier . It airs tonight in the states for anyone who wants to bother but just in case some of you were gonna tune in purely to see if it pans out i'd thought i'd give you the heads up . Over the piece it was a decent watch ,but it had endless scope to deliver something for us ,and just didn't ,but delivered 2 putzes . Oh well . |

Saturday July 11 11:25:23 2009 Re: Best Book Cover...? |
Many thanks for the couple of belated replies, I had almost forgotten this, but I was thinking more "mainstream" than these suggested. More along the lines of the British Fontana 1970 paperback edition of Helen Macinnes' "North from Rome" or the British Warner Futura 2002/3 paperback edition of Margaret Yorke's "The Point of Murder" OR the astonishing Hamish Hamilton 1976 British first hardback edition of Ed McBain's "So Long As You Both Shall Live". The latter has to be a candidate for all time best ever! |

Saturday July 11 14:53:28 2009 New database entry- Dead in 3 days |
Record number: 14292 Title: Dead in 3 days Medium: Movie Actress: Sabrina Reiter Description: At the 40 minute mark miss Reiter is ambushed and chloroformed in her kitchen she is wearing a vest and white panties .We next see her in the trunk of a car bound hands behind and feet bound gagged with a knotted cleave . The killer who has abducted her ,then takes her from the trunk and drags her to a boathouse by her feet .She is left alone on the floor of the boathouse and is subsequently rescued . Decent scene 3 minutes in length overall with good struggling and emoting from the actress . I uploaded this scene to my you tube account ,so for those of you who missed it a couple of weeks ago when i discovered it ,i'll link it on the video page again .It's well worth checking out ,could very well compete for scene of the year ,except for the movie is from 2007 . |

Saturday July 11 23:56:12 2009 Minor Score in 'Primeval' |
On to more serious matters after my response to our...ummm...err..."Resident Humorist." There's a minor scene in the newest episode of "Primeval" on BBC-America, the opus dealing with an invasion of giant ants from the future. About 25 minutes in, 'Abby' [Hannah Spearritt] gets thoroughly handgagged for her own good by 'Connor.' Blink and you'll miss it, but she's sure a Cutie. For Left Coasters, the episode repeats at 9:00 pm and Midnight. Otherwise, CYLL. Also, there are additional showings during the week -- Thursday evening, if I'm not mistaken. |
