The episode that was on Soapnet at 10:00 PM was yesterday's episode. Therefore, ABC must have shown yesterday's episode again today on the west coast, knowing that so many people in the east would miss it because of the Michael Jackson memorial coverage. Can west coasters confirm this? This gives people another chance to record the handgag scene if they missed it yesterday. |

I, unfortunately, am a gag snob, and am dismayed if a damsel is bound but not gagged. She must be silenced for the bondage to be complete, in my opinion. |

> I'm still thinking TW is a bit of a long shot .... Hi Moxx, See what I meant in my last post about human V human scenarios and the possibility of the good guys doing the binding and gagging? ONLY IT WID' BE A *~?!!*! PUTZ UNDERTAKER!!! Why couldnae it have been one of the cute wee assault rifle toting female soldiers with which that ever so PC Mr Davies & Co like to litter the franchise? Gwen would look cute in a stolen outfit and the original owner could have been left in her undies! Why could it no' have been that lovely uber nasty played by Liz May Brice? Ach...... Regarding "The Day of the Triffids". Funnily enough I have the DVD of the 1980s BBC version and the Penguin paparback on my desk as I type this. I bought them at the weekend as a birthday gift for a young relative who spends way too much time in front of the PC screen. Which minor scene are you referring to? The only one I can recall from memory is not actually "seen" in the book but only implied and later verbally described...? That is when the University group of survivors are snatched by the , for want of a better word, socialist types outside...? Och hang on, do you mean nearer the beginning when the hero first comes across the heroine being held captive as the "seeing eye girl" of the blind man? Anyways! Back to "Torchwood". The odds of anything of interest occurring are getting longer now that the team are re-united and the arrival of the aliens imminent and the purely human V human covert action phase is coming to an end. The flash, bang wallop spectacular special effects phase will be starting soon with no need for secrecy, and that usually means the end of any possibilty of anything interesting. But you never know. The team will probably have to infiltrate Thames House at some point so there may still be a wee chance there....? Cheers man! |

That's the one, it's 20 years since i read the book but i'm sure she has her hands tied. In the 80s TV adaptation this is changed to a single belt strap around one wrist. and in the Howard Keel film i believe it was omitted entirely |
Wednesday July 08 17:56:15 2009 Homecoming - Jessica Stroup |
Potentially the scene of the year FINALLY has it's release date - 17th July, although it says that the release is 'limited'.Jessica Stroup has been gearing up for it's rlease with a nice interview over at movieweb: Jessica Stroup: And Homecoming I get to play opposite of Mischa Barton and Matt Long. They're wonderful. We shot that in Pittsburgh and it was in the dead of wintertime, like December and January, so it was so cold! I'm from the South, but I'm a pretty tough girl. The fact that I was outside lying in snow, at one point, with my arms tied behind me and my feet bound and I was gagged, with a wife-beater and a tiny little pair of pajama pants on, lying in the snow... that was probably the coldest I've ever been in my entire life (Laughs). It's based on Misery with Kathy Bates and Mischa is a little bit over the edge on her part (Laughs). She gets to do some crazy things and capture me and there's tons of fun to be had right there because we were a good sparring couple. Some better pics (well, one for now!) starting to pop up too. Roll on the 17th - oh, and I'm in the UK so please can someone Stateside help us out when it is released! |

Exacatedly, Homes! Somehow don't think they'd have gotten a green light for 50 minutes or so of "Mmmmphh!!" Supposedly the women are fighting with one another while bound, and it sounds REALLY good to me! |

Wednesday July 08 21:07:04 2009 It takes a thief |
I think I've now watched all the episodes of It Takes a Thief on Hulu. It wasn't difficult. It's a relatively well written show, with decent production values (compare with Charlies Angels, The Fall Guy, or any number of shows where it looks like the budget for an episode was about $100), and, on nearly every episode, at least one guest star who is 'easy on the eyes'. I've entered into the database ten new entries--four involving bondage and six handgags (one involving chloroform). Al Mundy was quite a busy guy--by my count, responsible for tying up six women, most of them gagged, and most of the time with sexual overtones. He was also responsible for most of the handgags, which are generally quite good and convincing. Of course there were many times women should have been tied up, but weren't--especially frustrating is the episode The Bill is in Committee with Yvonne Craig, who is an assistant to Al, who goes undercover as a magician. In this situation, wouldn't you develop a trick involving tying up your assistant? But overall, a great show. |

Well... for what it's worth, to me it sounds like it'll be more or less like "The Ref" (dBase # 258), the only real plus being the presence of Meg & Kristen. |
