Record number: 1430 Title: Man With a Gun (1996) aka Hired For Killing Medium: Movie Actress: Jennifer Tilly Description: Ms. Tilly plays Rena Rushton, who steals a disc from the mob. Michael Madsen is hired to kill her, but falls in love with her instead. In order to satisfy the bounty on her head, and save her own life, Rushton hires Madson to kill her twin sister Kathy Payne, who is played by, Jennifer Tilly. Madsen kidnaps Payne, knocking her out and carrying her over his shoulder wrapped in a blanket. This occurs around the 20' mark (without commercials). Just after she is shown to have been blindfolded and gagged with duct tape. There're three good shots of her as such. She remains blindfolded for the next twenty minutes or so, much of which is spent with one wrist handcuffed to a bedpost. The tape's removed around the 45' mark. |

At the climax of the film, she is bound with her hands in front of her, and her ankles tied with plasticuffs. She is cleave gagged with a knotted towel. She is suspended from the ceiling by her ankles and spends several minutes in this position. There is some struggling and some nice close ups of her gag. Spoilers: She is an FBI agent captured by a killer that puts his murders online. The more people watching his homepage, the faster his victims will die. After being hanged from the ceiling by her ankles, the killer turns on a garden weeding machine that will rip her to shreds. As the visits to the web site increase, she slowly descends closer to the machine. She starts to swing until she manages to reach a pole in the basement, and from here she manages to press a button that releases her ankles from the cable hanging her up and she falls to the floor. She removes her gag (her hands were bound in front) and in the final minutes of the film she fights with the killer still bound hand and foot. A great scene. |

He leaves her floundering in the scrub as he stalks the bad guy. Because of her speech impediment, she can't attract a potential rescuer when walks nearby. |
