He comes across Kayley (Staite). He talks to her a bit, rambling on about the frailty of life, then suddenly asks if she's ever been raped. There is a closeup of her terrified face during this. He gets the information he needs from her, then informs her that she will be tied up. He has her turn around and put her hands behind her back, then produces a very thin cord. A bit later, there is a pan shot as she lies on her side on the catwalk, beginning at her feet (tied with the thin cord) and running to her face. There are a few shots from overhead as well, where you can just see her tied hands. She is not gagged. Scenes at 19 and 29 minutes without commercials. |

| Listings have this episode being shown at both 1pm and 2pm. There is no logical reason why they should show the same episode back to back, unless whoever got stuck working on Christmas Day is planning on being drunk. Whatever the reason, all episode times for the Firefly marathon today are suspect. |

This calls unwanted attention to the criminal enterprise of the rest of the crew. "Gag her if you have to" suggests the captain at the start of this episode. At the end of the episode, her eerie telepathic powers get her branded as a witch by superstitious villagers, who of course, must burn her at the stake. Her hands are bound behind her to a pole while firewood is stacked around. No closeups. She is wearing a sweater, skirt, and boots. |

As she plays the damsel in distress for her lover, a burglar breaks in. After stealing everything he can get his hands on, he leans in close to her to say goodbye. Record number: 255 Title: Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981) aka Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark Medium: Movie Actress: Karen Allen Description: About halfway into the movie, Marion Ravenwood (Allen) is nabbed by the evil Nazis. Later hero Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) stumbles upon her in a Bedouin tent, cleave gagged with a sodden hankerchief, her wrists bound behind her back and around the center pole which supports the tent's roof. Indy ungags her and they have a tender reunion (he thought she was dead) but then rethinks the situation and decides to regag her much to her understandable (and vocal) dismay. Later, she is seen in the same predicament, briefly, as she tries to squirm away from one of the villians who unties her. In these scenes she's wearing slacks and a white and red patterned blouse. Towards the end of the film, Marion and Indy are tied to a stake back to back while the Nazis prepare to open the Ark. The ropes, curiously, tie their left wrists to the corresponding right one of their partner. When the spirits of the Ark are released, they destroy the Nazis and burn through the heroes bindings, leaving them unscathed. In the latter scene, Marion is wearing a white satin cocktail dress. |

Record number: 13450 Title: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) Medium: Movie Actress: Karen Allen Description: Karen Allen reprises her role as Marion Ravenwood from the 1st movie Raiders of the Lost Ark. Obviously, she's 25 years older now, but still very pretty. The scene is deliberately very similar to the first one. Marion & Indy are captured by the bad guys and have their hands tied behind their backs (never shown) and they begin arguing, loudly. The guard finally has enough and when Marion ignores his demands to shut up, he gets a cloth and cleave gags her onscreen. Marion continues to argue as she is being gagged, almost not even paying attention to the guard at all. As we can make out most of what she's saying, it shows how ineffective cleave gags are. The guard may have the same fate in mind for Indy, but doesn't get the chance. Marion is ungagged onscreen in the next scene. Good lighting, close up shot. |
