In the last half hour of the film, Irene, wearing black leather pants, and a black sweater, tries to switch sides. Her bosses catch her and she is grabbed up. (Literally. A "Russian" thug grabs her, turns her upside down, and walks out of the room with her as she kicks her legs in the air.) She is chair tied, interrogated for a minute or two, and then tape gagged with silver duct tape.Some good struggling, some short but great mmmphing, and a couple of great close-ups. In a second scene we get a close up of her tape gagged face, hanging upside down from the roof of an abandoned warehouse. She's lowered on a winch, the tape is removed, and her arms are held by two toughs while Pullman and his ex-Soviet counterpart negotiate over a (literally) explosive videotape. |

Record number: 3230 Title: Zorro Medium: TV Series Actress: Myrna Fahey Description: Episode: "Shadow of Doubt" (1.14) (1957 Disney series) Maria Crespo, a woman working at the tavern who knows too much about the murder of the new Commandante, is grabbed, overgagged on screen with a wide blue cloth, and hustled into a coach by Robin Hughes and Jack Elam. Zorro gives chase, and rescues her after her captor leaps off the coach and leaves her to her apparent doom hurtling along a cliffside road. There are a good number of shots of her inside the coach, with the stagecoach bouncing so much that her skirt covers her face and another as her gagged face stares apprehensively from the window at the cliff yawning beyond the side of the road. Action occurs after the 10' mark ... perhaps around halfway in ... and continues almost to the end of the episode. A very nice scene overall. There are both color and black-and-white versions. This scene is also described in Entry 1133 for ZORRO THE AVENGER, a compilation film from the series. |
