Record number: 13124 Title: Robin Hood (2006) Medium: TV Series Actress: Lucy Griffiths Description: Episode: "Lardner's Ring" (2.9) Marion and Robin have climbed a tree looking for King John's Homing pigeon (no really) and are surrounded by Guy of Gisbourne & the sheriff's men who plan to burn the tree. To prevent this Marion (who's outlaw status is still secret) tells Robin to use her as a hostage. It takes several minutes for her to persuade him this is their only option, and she insists more than once that he must bind and gag her. Marion is lowered a few feet, below the branches of the thee but above head height, suspended by a rope around her shoulders, her wrists tied behind her back and cleave gagged. Scene lasts a couple of minutes with a few close ups and plenty of mmpphhing from the captive. She is then pulled back up into the tree and untied. Robin makes his getaway and Marion slips her wrists into a rope noose above her head, slips off the branch so that when Guy clibs the tree he finds her suspended by her bound wrists. she is not gagged this time. Action occurs in the final 10-15 minutes. |

Record number: 13112 Title: Robin Hood (2006) Medium: TV Series Actress: Lucy Griffiths, Anjali Jay Description: Episode: "Get Carter" (2.8) Marion (Griffiths) has now joined the outlaw gang, when she tries to lead an attack on the Sheriff's men in this episode Robin takes exception to her actions and physically drags her away from the battle. He grabs a length of rope which hangs from the roof of one of the village huts and wraps it around her wrists tying them together in front of her and slightly above her head. After the battle he returns to untie her, she scolds him with the words "Don't you ever tie me up again" Shortly after the bandits are picked off one by one by a double agent. Griffiths gets a very brief handgag and is next seen sat on the grond, tied back to back with a male outlaw, heavy rope around both their midriffs, hands behind back. She is also cleave gagged. A few feet away Saracen outlaw Djac (Jay) is similarly secured back to back with a male team mate, however most of the close ups are centered on Griffiths. Action is all centered in the first 15-20minutes, however completests may like to know that a stout looking mature Nun is handgagged later in the episode |

Record number: 3241 Title: Zorro's Black Whip (1944) Medium: Movie Serial Actress: Linda Stirling Description: In Chapter 5, "Take Off That Mask!", Barbara is tied to a chair (wrists to chair arms); while the bad guys go about some sort of nefarious business, Barbara frees herself using a darning needle and escapes through a secret passage. In Chapter 9, "Avalanche", the villains believe that they have figured who the Black Whip is - it must be Barbara Meredith (Stirling). They take her hostage, tie her up, then take her back to villain headquarters and tie her to a wall, hands over her head. She isn't gagged because, when the poker in the fireplace gets hot enough, they're going to use the instrument to torture a confession out of her. In a nick of time her friend Vic (George J. Lewis playing a good guy for a change) shows up dressed in the Black Whip's costume. Barbara (the real Black Whip) and Vic defeat the villains. Villians were really stupid back in the days of the Old West; they never figured out that a man and a woman are anatomically different when clad in the Whip's costume. In Chapter 10, there's a brief scene of Barbara bound, but it's not much. |

Then, at about an hour and 10 minutes, she's shown being carried to the scene of her burning in a cage-like wagon, standing with her wrists secured to its side rails, though with what isn't easy to see (the scene occurs at night). When the wagon arrives at its destination, she's pulled from it and carried to a ladder lying on the ground, to which she's tied with her arms over her head. The ladder is raised and propped against a tree while the fire is stoked in the background, but the actual burning isn't shown. |
