As before a chain around her left wrist is secured to the wall, holding her in her cell. Elsewhere Robin and his outlaw gang - including Djac (Jay) - are accused of treason and left to die in the desert, Each of them is stood between two upright wooden posts in the sand, their wrists tied stretched out above their heads. The Sheriff then brings Marion out to where they have been staked out, she is on horseback, her wrists tied in front of her to her saddle. She is untied and retied back to back with Robin arms stretched out. Sometime later they are rescued and cut free. |

| Title: King Kong (2005) Medium: Movie Actress: Naomi Watts, unknown Description: It is Naomi Watts' turn to play Ann Darrow and be abducted by the natives of Skull Island to be offered as a sacrifice to the mighty ape. Just over an hour in she's shown bound at the wrists with vines to two vertical posts as in both previous versions (DB# 616 and 1173). The difference this time is that the posts are on the end of a long ladder-like strut that is pivoted forward across a large ditch to rest on a platform on the jungle side of the wall. Thus, she is fully suspended by her wrists as the strut swings down. Kong grabs her and the vines are ripped from the frame without injury to the arms of the lovely damsel. Then at about two and a half hours, the scene is re-enacted in a theater production with another white-dress clad damsel (who is not Darrow and is played by someone other than Watts, as the dialogue makes clear) tied between two posts on a platform that rises up from beneath the stage before a chained Kong, who takes umbrage at the impostor's presence. After freeing himself, he breaks the posts and flings the stand-in to her death upon realizing she isn't Darrow. The IMDb credits Julia Walshaw, Luanne Gordon, and Lorraine Ashboune as "theater actors" in the cast. |

The mother (Thomas) is tied separately in another room, with her hands above her head. She is barefoot. It is later revealed that she is dead. These scenes are short, there are no leg restraints or gags. |

| Title: Hostage (2005) Medium: Movie Actress: Serena Scott Thomas, Michelle Horn, Rumer Willis Description: The first scene occurs early in the movie and it's of the blink-and-you-missed-it variety. A woman who was being held hostage by her crazed husband (or boyfriend) is found by Bruce Willis tied in the corner with a rag shoved in her mouth. Wrists are tied behind. She has already been killed. 6 minutes in. 21 to 22 minutes in, there are 3 seperate handgag scenes with Michelle Horn. Closeups, wide eyes and all that good stuff. 30 minutes in, Michelle Horn is bound with packing tape back-to-back with her little brother and her ankles are taped together. Not gagged. A very brief flash of her as the security shields come down over the windows 32 minutes in. Little brother is in the scene, but since they are tied back to back, you don't really see him. 34 minutes in, you see them roll off the bed together in an effort to escape by breaking the bong she has hidden under the bed and using the glass to cut the tape. It doesn't work, the bad guys hear the bump and come running. They do seperate the both, but her ankles remain tied. 44 minutes in, we see 2 brief shots of Willis' wife and daughter bound (Rumer Willis, Serena Scott Thomas) wrists behind and cleave-gagged with a black cloth in the back of a van. Blink n'miss. 64 minutes in, you see Michelle's bound to a wooden lawn chair (arms to the armrests) and gagged with white tape. One of the bad guys is watching her through a cctv camers. Blink n'miss. 65 minutes in, you see a about 2 minutes of the bad guy gloating, etc, while she remains tied to the chair. She is ungagged about 35 seconds in. Closeup as he peels it off. The bad guy unties her 76 minutes in, but shows us a closeup of her restraints. 83 minutes in, Bruce Willis is handed polaroids of his wife and daughter bound and gagged like in the scene at 44min. Blink n'miss. 84 minutes in, one of the bad guys ties Michelle Horn spread eagled to her bed. Guess that is what happens to girls who have a bunch of straps, belts and scarves hanging off their 4 post bed. Scene lasts about 40 seconds. He finishes tying her up (wrists are already bound, only her left leg isn't tied up at the begining of the scene), turns off the lights and leaves. 87 minutes in, another flashback to Bruce Willis' wife and daughter. Short. A couple seconds later, you see the sister franticly trying to get freed. Her little brother is cutting the straps, but manages to get only 1 wrist (and apparantly her legs) free before the bad guy comes in. She manages to escape. A fair bit of struggling in this scene. 101, 105 minutes in, Bruce's wife and daughter are shown tied-up with sacks over their heads. There apparently gagged because you hear the "mmmmphing!", but it's not shown. all times w/o commercials |

Record number: 21 Title: Ulee's Gold (1997) Medium: Movie Actress: Jessica Biel, Christine Dunford, Vanessa Zima Description: Earlier in the movie, Helen Jackson (Dunford) is tied down to a bed with sheets, while she is going through severe withdrawal of a drug that the bad guys kept her strung out on. Scenes of her strugging against the bonds, and Connie Hope (Patricia Richardson) having to inject her with a sedative. This scene occurs during the first half of the movie. Helen isn't gagged in this scene. The three Jackson women, daughters Casey (Biel) and Penny (Zima) and 30-something mother Helen are tightly bound to chairs and gagged with duct tape. Close-ups of hands being wrapped in duct tape, gagged with duct tape wrapped around the head, some grunting. Casey struggles so much that, when they are discovered by (the unfortunately ungagged and unbound) Connie (Patricia Richardson of the TV show Home Improvement), we see her chair has tipped over. Scene lasts about three minutes and occurs about 85 minutes into the movie. |

About two and a half hours into the Lifetime Movie Network version (which runs about 3 1/2 hours as opposed to 4) she gets handgagged a couple of times and menaced with a knife wielded by one of the conspirators who grabs her from behind after hiding in her car. She's shown being arrested in her classroom about twenty minutes from the end, her hands being cuffed onscreen behind her back. She's then led out dressed rather provocatively in a form-fitting turtleneck sweater and short skirt. Guy alert: another of the conspirators is also arrested during the sequence. |

There are several nice close-ups. As she is about to be wisked away by the demon, we can see that Ms. Pai's shoes have been removed during her captivity. There is a close up of her bound stocking feet when the demon cuts the rope that ties them to the bottom of the bed. Around the 50' mark, Ms. Cattrall is shown in a cage laying on her stomach in a strict hogtie. She is also very tightly cleave-gagged with black cloth. Her hands are bound behind her back, and her ankles are tied together. A rope extends from her ankles over her left shoulder, around her neck, then back over her right shoulder and down to her bound hands, putting her in a hogtie. After she is rescued by Kurt Russell, she flees the warehouse with her gag still in place. No mention of Ms. Cattrall's hogtie or why she is the only one tied up in the audio commentary track While the others drive away from the warehouse, Gracie (Kim Cattrall) is again grabbed by Lo-Pan in beast-form, and gets placed with her wrists slapped in chains bolted to the floor. |
