She allows her hands to be tied to the headboard with the belt to a silk bathrobe. Michael then steps back and lets Sydney know his memory is back and mocks her before leaving her there. Sydney begs to be untied but is left to be discovered by her sister Jane (Josie Bissett) and her boyfriend. Sydney doesn't want to admit to her sceme so she claims that Michael forced his way in and tied her up. This only serves to get her into deeper trouble when Jane's boyfriend takes Sydney aside and tells her that there was no way she could get tied up like that unless she allowed it. He tells her that such a beautiful piece of white trash like her is very rare and uses their secret to force Sydney into a secret sexual relationship with him over the next several episodes. |

Clara is tied to a chair, with her wrists apparently tied behind her back, two ropes pass around her waist and more ropes are wrapped around the bottom of her dress to pinion her ankles. Much struggling by the male characters, while Clara sits passively and waits to be rescued by the heroes. |

First, Sabrina (Ms. Hart) gets tied to railroad tracks in her own bedroom (!) by the villian, then is rescued by her boyfriend. Later, she, her aunts, and Valerie (Ms. Sloane) get tied to the tracks (first Valerie, then the aunts, and finally the full foursome) in the living room. Nice struggling (no gags), and it's all shot in black & white and subtitled. The action begins around the 20' mark, and lasts about three minutes. Bonus: Hilda (Ms. Rhea) literally has her lips zipped by Zelda (Ms. Broderick) around the 10' mark. It's pretty brief, and no closeups. Double Bonus: Just before her first scene, Ms. Hart is seen blinkly (a new adverb) with a large pine cone in her mouth (don't ask). |

Record number: 11511 Title: Stargate SG-1 aka Stargåte SG-1 aka Stargate: SG-1 Medium: TV Series Actress: Claudia Black Description: Episode: "Avalon", Part 2 (9.2) Vala (Claudia Black) ends up chained to a sacrificial altar, about to be burned to death by the village's Administrator and his fanatical followers. A large cauldron of fire is tipped over and sent racing toward her down a long trough and slowly around a maze type circular pattern surrounding her. She is kneeling with chains holding her hands down to her sides. She goes up in flames, but is brought back to life by an all powerful being at the episode end. The very heavy and thick chains are attached to large metal manacles, but are not loosies. 35 minutes w/o commercials and is breifly interrupted several times to show what is happening on earth. Scene time - from grab to firey death - lasts about 3 minutes. If you count the "after brought back to life" part, about 5 minutes long. Obviously graphic. Wearing a Rennaisance type gown. |

Record number: 1124 Title: The Perils of Pauline (1947) Medium: Movie Actress: Betty Hutton Description: Somewhat comic look at silent-screen heroine Pearl White, played by Hutton. The first instance of bondage, about 20 minutes into the movie, contains a rather offensive element. Portraying White as a live actress early in her career, Hutton appears in blackface as a slave maid, running onstage to warn her master of Civil War Union forces approaching. Behind the curtain afterwards, she pulls her hands out from under her apron to reveal them bound, as a result of the clumsiness she'd shown in a previous role. About 20 minutes later, after she's been discovered by Hollywood, there's a memorable one-minute sequence of re-enacted clips from the famous serial, intercut with humorous signs for the audience. Hutton is shown lying on railroad tracks, her hands tied together in front and roped to stakes beside the rail-her ankles are tied together and apparently restrained, but to what isn't shown-struggling furiously as a locomotive rapidly bears down on her. Just before it gets there, the screen goes white, then flashes the message, "One moment please to patch film". A few seconds later, she's tied standing to a tree in a burning forest, followed by a "No Smoking" message. Next she's spreadeagled in chains-shown only from the waist up-as a rack of spikes lowers itself onto her, as a baby starts to cry on the soundtrack, which brings the message, "Will lady with crying baby please take it outside!" The sawmill episode follows, with Hutton bound to the log with rather thick rope. Just as the whirring blade starts mussing her hair, the clip ends with, "Ladies please remove your hats". Finally she's shown on her side, hands tied in front, apparently bound somehow to a vertical timber in front of her, amid cans of black powder and a case of dynamite with a fuse quickly burning down as she struggles. About ten minutes after this sequence, Hutton and her male co-star are shown filming an episode in which they're tied standing back-to-back in the basket of a balloon, but rather loosely-which comes in handy when the balloon gets away from the ground crew before the pilot can sneak aboard. Incidentally, Hutton is shown roped and cleave-gagged on the box of some video releases of this film, but is never gagged in the movie. |

Episode has to do with C.D.'s induction into the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame. He has had only one unsolved case in his career Starts near the beginning and ends by the 15' mark. |
