Record number: 11616 Title: Threshold Medium: TV Series Actress: Christie Lynn Smith Description: Episode: "The Burning" (1.4) This is irrefutably one of the best damsel in distress scenes in recent television history. The damsel is wearing a snug camisole top and black brief panties, because she is doing her laundry and all her clothes are in the washer or dryer. She is overpowered by an escaped mental patient, who clamps his hand over her mouth to silence her; in the next scene in which she appears, she is bound and gagged in her camisole top and briefs. Her gag is a cloth tied tightly across her mouth. There are several inconsistencies with her gag. In one shot, it covers nearly one third of her face, and conceals her chin; in another scene, it covers only her lips, and leaves her chin visible. She is bound and gagged for a prolonged period of time. The escaped mental patient leaves her bound and gagged, and the actual villain discovers her. There is a brief scene where he removes her gag, and then reties it between her teeth, so it becomes a cleave gag. All the while, she is wearing the camisole top and briefs. She is rescued by the heroes, that clandestine government agency. The female lead, Carla Gugino, removes her gag. barefoot throughout her entire scene |

Record number: 12121 Title: Threshold Medium: TV Series Actress: Julie Dretzin Description: Episode: "Progeny" (1.9) Libby Drennan (played by Julie Dretzin) is taken down for ripping her husband's head off and throwing it in the street. When the cops come to arrest her, she resists until she is subdued by a taser, at which point she is handcuffed with her wrists behind her back. Happens about 8 minutes in. Scene is about 25 seconds long - spread out between the taze, knockout, and handcuffing/lying on the floor cuffed scene. Later in the episode, you see her bound to a table in a medical lab with really big metal restraints holding her ankles together and her wrists at her side. Scenes at 13, 15, 16.5, 33, 42 minutes. She is wearing a red hospital gown. There is a total of about 4 minutes of on screen time - 2.5 if you cut out somewhat distant shots or when the camera pans to another character. Also, in the very begining of this episode, we see a flashback to the handgag in (1.4). Scenes are surprisingly well lit, in focus and the restraints look fairly tight. A great example of how to do a "futuristic restraints scene. |

| I recently saw a commercial for this TV movie adaptation of a Stephen King story which showed Allyce Beasley in a straightjacket with closeups of the soles of her bare feet (no gag). The Chiller channel is showing part 1 at 9:00 PM Saturday night and again at 12:00 AM early Sunday morning. The Chiller channel is showing part 2 at 9:00 PM Sunday night and again at 12:00 AM early Monday morning. I do not know which part the scene is in. This scene is not in the database. |
