Record number: 3829 Title: Homicide: Life on the Street Medium: TV Series Actress: Unknown Description: Episode: "Homicide.com" (7.13) In this improbable episode, a homicidal webmaster announces he will murder a woman live online (at http://www.inplainsite.com -- which is a website run by one of the homicide detectives) at a certain time, and then taunts the police. The first scene occurs at the beginning of the program. The woman is dressed in a silk nightgown, or something similar, and bound arms apart with satin strips. She behaves as though she's in no danger, until the killer handgags her just before stabbing her. At around ten minutes in, there is a blink-and-miss shot off a PC screen leading into commercial. It looks to be from the final scene. About the 30 minute mark, a second victim is seen bound to a pole and overgagged. The scene occurs entirely on a computer screen. When the killer announces a third murder, the cops manage to trace his signal and rescue the intended victim in the nick. She is attired similarly to the first two women, bound arms apart, and tightly overgagged with a strip of satin. There's one good closeup. She's first shown around fifty minutes in. |

At about 27 minutes in [with commericials], "Dr. Baltar", shadowed by his Cylon muse "Number 6" [Helfer], is shown another Cylon being held prisoner aboard the battlestar "Pegasus". This one we will find is named "Gina" and is a duplicate of "Number 6". She has been thoroughly brutalized physically and sexually by her interrogators on "Pegasus" and has been left laying on her side on the floor of her cell. She wears a metal collar, her hands are cuffed behind her, and one ankle is cuffed and attached to a bolt in the floor by a length of wire. She wears prison garb, a dirty one-piece smock that leaves her legs bare. The scene lasts about 3 minutes A second scene occurs about 15 minutes later, and here Dr. Baltar is removing Gina's shackles from her heavily bruised wrists and ankles. Finally, at about 50 minutes in, "Sharon" [Park] falls into the hands of the interrogators from "Pegasus". They put her on her knees, and her arms are either bound or are very firmly held in front as the villains prepare to use the same methods that were employed on Gina. In the first, Barbara (Jessica Friedman) is awaken with smelling salt by the bad guy. She's strapped to a dentist-type chair by the neck, wrists and ankles. She's gagged with a big black ballgag. The surgeon proceeds to cut off her ear. There are several close-up shots of her face, hands and barefeet as she struggles. The second scene has Andrea (Amanda Lee) tied and gagged the same way, also barefoot. She is scalped by the bad guy. Near the end of the movie (sorry I don't have the exact time), Brooklyn Sudano ends up just like the first two girls, tied to chair & ballgagged, but is rescued before any real mutilation can occur to her Also Brooklyn and her friend, Alexis, were in cages with their hands handcuffed in front. This occurs just before Brooklyn's gag scene. |

She later is then strapped to a table as the staff injects her with a needle. There's no gag though in any of these scenes. |

But Suffice to say that the roles have been made 'politically correct' for our era. That said, take heart in the fact the plucky heroine 'Grace' [Sophia Bush] does experience a bit of bondage. First, just short of 35 minutes in [no ads], she leaves a restroom in a roadside diner, only to be arrested by a lurking sheriff. Her hands are cuffed behind her, though we don't actually see her bonds. She's then hustled outside to a squad car and bundled into the back seat. Her DiD costuming is first-rate: a tight brown sleeveless top, a very short denim miniskirt, and faux cowboy boots. Second, just short of 60 minutes in, 'Grace' is getting some much needed rest in a seedy motel room. She awakens in a drowsy state, thinking that her boyfriend has returned. Instead, the villain of the piece is there, and he subjects her to a quick handgagging. |

She's wearing a black sweater like top with lace binding at the neck, jeans and black flat heel boots. There's also a short take where she has her mouth and eyes sewn shut during a hallucination |

Scene is also very dark. - The third time Baird is tied, her wrists are simply strapped to the arms of the chair. - Jordana Brewster very briefly has her wrists tied to the arms of a chair. All scenes are bloody, and most are dimly lit. There are NO gags at any point in the movie. |

In a sequence that begins about ten minutes later and continues for about ten minutes more, she's shown several times with her hands cuffed over her head and her ankles roped together, sitting in front of a large steam pipe the killer has opened and swung around towards her, making obvious the fate that awaits her if the police don't decipher the cryptic clues to her whereabouts he's given them in time. |
