Title: Oi istories tou astynomou Beka Medium: TV Series Actress: Doretta Papadimitriou Description: Episode: "Zitima zois kai thanatou (Part 2)" (2.02) 20 minutes into the episode, guest character Olga (Papadimitriou) is grabbed during an arranged meeting with the bad guys and tossed into a car. At 31 minutes, we see her in a locked room in a compound, ankles bound with rope and hands tied behind her back, gagged with a long strip of duct tape over a white cloth that's tied around her head. Over the next ten minutes, we're treated to numerous scenes of her writhing around, kicking at the door, and mmmphing like crazy in an unsuccessful attempt to attract the attention of various potential rescuers who are poking around outside with guns drawn. At 44 minutes, one of the kidnappers unties her hands but leaves to confront the good guys, who show up a few minutes later to unlock the door. (Olga has ungagged herself offscreen by this point.) Papadimitriou wears a gray v-neck shirt and blue jeans. Fans of extended, energetic struggling by a damsel would be well advised to track down this scene! |

She is only gagged, not bound and gagged; her gag is a device called a sonic baffler. I did a little research using Google and learned that Songbird was once known as Screaming Mimi, who was a member of a troupe of female wrestlers led by a villainess named Thundra. She appeared in an issue of Captain America during the late Seventies. After the villains had been defeated by Captain America and Quasar, they were all secured with restraints formed by energy bands Quasar created. Screaming Mimi was bound and gagged with the energy bands. |

In the season 2 trailer, near the end there is a blonde tied to a chair and cleave gagged. Did the first season produce any scenes? |

Wednesday September 28 10:08:13 2022 Competent captors |
There is always discussion about how bad guys in movies tend to be incompetent and stupid, doing things like not securing the damsel well enough so she easily gets free, leaving a sharp object near her or some other cliche. What are some good examples of captors that are actually competent. They make sure that their captive is secured and don't do any silly mistakes? |

They make sure Alice is restrained and gagged in a way that will keep her secure and silent for a long time but will not hurt her (too much). They also have a plan for when she'll need to go to the bathroom which is an unglamorous but necessary consideration that is rarely addressed in other instances of long term captivity. |

In the fairly recent Lifetime movie "A Mother's Fury", Stephanie Izsak is bound to a chair with tape and is cleave gagged with a piece of tape over that |

Triple Threat. Villainess even leaves for a while because she 'has another date'. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0801349/mediaviewer/rm2303470336/?ref_=tt_md_2 |
