Demi Moore's great scene from the end of the Scarlet Letter. Its a well-lit and extremely long scene with multiple damsels and a nice, tight gag for an A-list actress at the height of her beauty and fame! |

What gets me going is damsels lying down and squirming, so there are a good number of scenes including Lee Meriweather in Batman: the Movie (from the 60s) and Counterstrike: You Must Remember This. |

Monday August 29 10:58:25 2011 Indiffernet Damsels |
This past week there was talk about damsels who appear annoyed opposed to those who appear scared. That got me thinking of damsels who are neither scared or annoyed, but simply indifferent. One that comes to mind is Christina Ricci in That Darn Cat. She didn't seem mad or scared by her predicament. There was no gag talk or squirming from her, just a blank look on her face most of the scene. Anyone remember any other damsels that seemed to be so care-free about being kidnapped or bound and gagged? |

CR wrote: > Anyone remember any other damsels that seemed to be so > care-free about being kidnapped or bound and gagged? There are plenty, but I find them to be the worst type of scene (along with overly gory ones). If there's no struggling or even some kind of emoting, it's a wasted opportunity. The aforementioned scene from That Darn Cat could've been pretty decent, but Ricci might as well have been simply forced to sit down & keep quiet. If a damsel acts like couldn't give a shit about being kidnapped or restrained against her will, it doesn't give the scene any believability; unless it's done for pure comedic effect. The only good thing about a passive damsel is the (usually) good visual that comes with it. |

I can't say that I'm surprised it doesn't get mentioned a lot, because it's an old one, but I think Stefanie Powers' scene in "Die, Die My Darling" will always be in my top five. Beautiful woman obviously, great struggling, and a desperate bid to alert a saviour which appears to fail by seconds. Another oldie in my top five is Pat Priest in "The Incredible 2-Headed Transplant," for many of the same reasons. Love those struggling DiDs! |

Here's one for you Lisa Scottoline's Save Me has a bound gag scene in the later part of the book. I'd appreciate if you could think of new book for this year that have bondage in them. |

Monday August 29 17:16:03 2011 Car 54, Where Are You? |
This past weekend, METV in Chicago ran the "Car 54, Where Are You?" episode where Beatrice Pons and Alice Ghostley are separately bound and gagged. Although neither actress was a raving beauty, they looked surprisingly good in bondage. Their hands were tied tightly behind them and they were lying on the floor with nice looking white cleave gags. I'll take these scenes any day over today's fake duct tape gags! |

Naomi Campbell is on the cover of a magazine called "V Spain" tied hands in front with green rope and gagged with yellow tape on her mouth. |

Monday August 29 17:41:44 2011 Any word on "Killing Suki Flood"? |
We discussed this a couple of years ago; basically a crime novel with a couple of intense scenes for a young tough acting barely dressed (and at two points nude) damsel was optioned for a movie. I tried looking it up recently but only got the name of a French (?) production company with a decent record. Unfortunately it looks dead in the water; there was nothing upcoming in IMDB under that company. Anyone find different news? Admittedly, it would be a long shot even if they featured one of those scenes but it would be a keeper. |

> I'd appreciate if you could think of > new book for this year that have bondage in them. Go on "Google Books" or "Amazon Books." Both sites let you check contesnts of books for key words. If you want to check 2011 books add "2011" along with your key words. You'll find lots of 2011 books with bondage in them. |
Monday August 29 17:54:11 2011 Re:Book Searches |
Actually "Google Books" would be the better forum. There you can type in 2011 with key words and get all the books from 2011 that have those words in them. "Amazon books" does let you see the content of some books but you have to look inside the individual book one at a time. |

Lasting Damage, the latest book from Sophie Hannah ends with the heroine gagged and bound with parcel tape. Written in the first person, it includes a sequence where her captor repeatedly tells her to gag herself but she is apparantly too shell-shocked to comply |

Agreed, it's a pretty sweet pic, and yet another very welcome sign of bondage imagery being accepted in mainstream media. Granted, it's a French magazine, but it's still a step in the right direction. American fashion tends to take its cues from the French, so... carry on! |

Monday August 29 23:22:33 2011 Rizzoli & Isles - next week |
Promo for next week's "Rizzoli & Isles" shows a woman bound and cleave-gagged in a closet, her blouse ripped open showing her bra. The episode has to do with Sasha Alexander's mob father. |

There's also an article quoting Naomi as saying "there's probably a lot of people who'd like to tie me up and put tape on my mouth." |
