I always thought that TAU was "inspired" (if that's the correct word) by Richard Speck's overnight murder spree in which he tied up nine or ten student nurses in one room and then then assaulted and killed them one by one. (A single young woman survived by rolling beneath a bed and hiding until he left.) TAU was indeed very rough in tone and execution but -- thankfully for its fans -- nowhere near as awful as Speck's true-life rampage. Leo.

Did he tie their legs?

Nope, just their hands. And, bondage-wise, the plot didn't even make sense. The knots were huge and loose, and the captives had to trick their captor into untying one of them so she could untie the other. But those ropes could have been untied by a blindfolded amputee

With all the budget cuts and cancellations, I wouldn't be surprised to find out interns are writing these scripts and they don't even get reviewed before being handed out. With soaps all but dead, there can't be many legitimate writers working on these shows. Like every business, they are using the cheapest possible people.

"Nightline," & "Castle"
ABC"s "Nightline" on Friday night had a brief story about the way that "Creature" tanked at the box office. At the beginning of the show there were a buch of quick shots from the movie, including a "blinky" of the actress who was cleave gagged. The shot wasn't repeated in the story, although there was a close-up of a woman's upper face with tears and/or sweat on her which may have been from that scene. (I'm a member of the vast majority who didn't see it.) Also, with all of the buzz we get here whenever an actress has a pecil or apple in her mouth, I'm surprised no one has gotten all hot and bothered about the previews of "Castle" with the female lead lying in a hospital bed and surgical tape on her mouth to hold a tube in.

Re: Terror Among Us
I preferred Kim Lankford's other scene with 3 DinD's in Hardy Boys. Much better plot with sorority girls kidnapped and held B&G by fellow sorority sister

It may indeed have been inspired by that horrific crime. There are parallels between the plot of the movie and the actual event; a criminal breaks into the residence of a group of attractive females, binds and gags and then proceeds to terrorize them. Richard Speck used bedsheets for his bindings and gags, while Delbert Ramsey used other items at hand.
There were differences, however. The actual victims were nursing students, while the movie victims were flight attendants. The actual crime occurred in Illinois, while the movie was set in Southern California. Richard Speck kiiled most of his victims, while Delbert Ramsey made no attempt to kill any of his.
The "Empty Eyes" episode of CSI was inspired by this event. The plot of this episode more closely paralleled the actual events. The victims, Las Vegas showgirls, were bound and gagged with bedsheets, and one of them was found under a bed.

Stana Katic used to be on my wish list, but looking at the other network shows this season, I don't find her as interesting as I used to. Plus, the show is getting very predictable.

They also seem to enjoy the males in trouble more than females, except for the very nice Dana Delany scene.

Asylum
Given that it specialises in grade Z movies, and that these can have scenes of interest to us, does anyone know if the Asylum studio's films tend to feature DiDs?

Kismet (late alert)
Kismet
Day: Saturday September 17 2011
Time: 10:00 PM eastern
Channel: Turner Classic Movies (TCM)

I have never seen this movie before, but it probably has women wearing veils.

Record number: 5906

Title: Kismet (1955)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Unknown

Description: About 15 minutes in to this 50s Arabian Nights fantasy, a grop of slavegirls is led by the camera chained in a wrist coffle. They're modestly dressed and the whole scene lasts for two seconds, maximum.

The scene occurs when Howard Keel returns to the city from the desert, shortly after he's hooked up with his daughter after chasing off the fruit vendor who was chasing her. Look for a guy in a striped hat followed by an old woman who's leading the slavegirls.
