I first saw it in the mid 1980's on the old "CBS Late Movie" It really caught my attention because at the time Sarah Purcell was one of the hosts of "Real People" and I was stunned to see her bound and gagged. One of the Encore channels aired it in the late '90's. That's when I was finally able to grab a copy.

Come to think of it the "CBS Late Movie" was also the first time I saw "Bimini Code" and "The Awakening of Candra". Also the first time I saw the scenes from the last two seasons of "Hawaii Five-O" which had been renamed "McGarrett" for the late night run.

There have been clips from TAU floating about for several years, long before the DVD release.

A DANGEROUS METHOD
Saw this last week; two scenes for Ms. Knightly:

First, she is spanked - but no restraints (I guess not really a scene to many here).

Later she is flogged, kneeling on a bed, wrists bound to the headboard, topless.

No gags.

Blondie
Penny Singleton was born this day in 1908. She lived to be 95 & gave us that classic scene in "Blondie's Big Deal".

Does she get her ankles tied?

about recent entry
A recent entry in the database was for the show "instant star". I was wondering if we knew any more? Lyrics? What she looks like in the video? What else happens in the video?

Perhaps. On the other hand, in a later version they most likely would have had their hands bound in front, and the scene would have been less powerful. Also, there are still a few of us around who prefer "natural" attractive women rather than the plastic Kardashian look which is supposedly the gold standard today. I'd much rather see a pretty, "girl next door" type than someone who looks like she cut a volleyball in two and pasted the halves on her chest. Okay, my $0.02.

Angels in Chains
Well, they released a promo picture today for the upcoming remake episode of Charlies Angels: Angels in Chains. Like everything else about the new show, it looks inferior to both the original and the Drew Barrymoore version.

I think this show is more Drew Barrymore version, isn't she the producer? Which is likely part of the reason it will suck so bad.

Are nuts? They release a promo shot of 3 babes in chains and that is a problem why? It is a message that these angels are going be captured and restrained. The ropes and gags are not far off

Back in April it was available On Demand on Fios and probably other cable systems. It might still be available.

I like the deluxe contemporary prison chains Diaz/Barrymoore/Liu wore, and the more animated look of Farrah et al. But yes, I agree with your optimism in general. This is the most promising show in years. Hopefully it will survive.

Whoops! Photo didn't seem that big. Delete away.

Seriously, how many times do I have to tell you guys
to check images BEFORE posting? This gets tiresome.

Either paste the link in a browser window first, or
with Firefox right-click and select View Image.

It looked fine in my browser. Now I can't find a smaller image that works. But just so the thought is not lost with the giant photo, it was Erica Durance, guest star on Charlies Angels, who said 'we all get into a lot of trouble'.

It was a song video with some short dream sequences, one in which she's tied to a chair (rope around body but hands mostly free). More symbolic than anything else

What made the scene powerful was the context in which the four flight attendants were bound and gagged: a home invasion by a rapist. The sheer terror the ladies felt was almost palpable. This imbued realism to the scene. Also enhancing the realism of the scene was the fact that the ladies were bound and gagged with items their assailant found at hand.
One could argue that enhancing the verisimilitude of the scene was the fact that the four ladies did not resemble fashion models, but were instead girl-next-door types. I would have to disagree with this; actresses then were not as hot as actresses these days, and I'm not alluding to surgical enhancements. Actresses these days take better care of themselves; it is imperative that they do so, because they are competing for roles against women who are very nearly physically perfect.
One member of the quartet was carrying a very noticeable amount of unsightly cottage cheese. Furthermore, this actress wore a swimsuit and short shorts in the movie. No actress with such a glaring physical flaw would've received the part had the movie been made recently, especially if she would've had to wear a swimsuit and shorts.

The 5'9" Pat Klous *was* a former fashion model.

I thought she was really pretty. If I recall right she actually had a broken arm during that shoot but still had her hands tied behind her. Is that correct?

Not to start a big argument, but I don't think American actresses today are nearly as attractive as those of the sixties and early seventies. I think the intense work out regime combined with plastic surgery and bulimia gives them all a haggard look that is not particularly sexy. Just my opinion.

Re: Angels in Chains
The show's getting some of the worst buzz of all the new series. I hope I'm wrong, but I'd be surprised if all the episodes they shoot air, much less more getting picked up for a full season.

I do think that if the show survives for a while, it will pay off with at least a few scenes here and there. The setup virtually requires it. Unfortunately, we might not end up with much of a sample size.

Again, I could be wrong, but TV critics these days are pretty savvy about what audiences like, and the early word is scathing.

I'm putting some hopes in Sara Michelle Gallar's new CW series Ringer. Thumbnail sketch is SMG plays twin sisters; one is a well-to-do wife and the other just got out of prison. The basic concept is that the out-of-prison sister thinks the well-to-do sister committed suicide and has assumed her identity.

It's another one of those one actress plays twin parts ala Yasmine Bleeth in The Lake or the equally awful Twisted Sisters. I've already decided that the plots are too overly complicated to spend 45 minutes to watch straight through; however, can't pass up the opportunity to see SMG DiD herself! Hence, I'll record it and fast forward through the majority.

Here's hoping!
