| Can anyone remember scenes where the attempted rescuer epically failed or looked painfully inept even if the damsel did ultimately end up getting safely rescued? The rescue scene in Small Soldiers is #1 in this category for me. Gregory Smith played the next door neighbor of Kirsten Dunst who also happened to be madly in love with her. Smith went over to Dunst's house to "rescue" her after seeing the hostage tape. He gets into her house and finds her bound and gagged in her bedroom. He doesn't untie her or take the tape off her mouth, instead he takes the time to take his backpack off and asks her "Are you ok?" while her mouth is still duct taped shut. Smith then proceeds to sit there and stare at Dunst as if he actually expects her to speak and answer him. This gave the evil barbie doll toys the chance to jump on Smith and pin him to the floor. Smith's toy ally had to clean up his mess and cut Dunst free from the chair she was tied to, leading her to rescue Smith from all the dolls that had the upper hand on him. |

Oh, if only they were all that way, instead of the scenes where the hero rushes in and frees the damsel in seconds... I can recall a few where the rescuer screws up by not simply ungagging the damsel immediately because she could warn him of a bomb, so you get the eye rolls and urgent mmmphs, like the Wonder Woman scene with Lynda Carter chewing on a thick cleave, or the scene (I forget the show off the top of my head) with Joanna Lumley chewing on an even thicker cleave while the rescuer says "a gag really suits you" or something similar. Love both of those scenes. |

Class Act with Joanna Lumley is a great scene and rescue , also The Saint Invitation to Danger with Shirley Eaton would be in that same category. |

I think there was a film on skinamax a couple of years ago that had the same problem; the guy wasn't really in charge, despite the bondage the 'non-damsel' was calling the shots which was a defeating point of play. I wonder how many more scenes out there are like these two; an otherwise good scene ruined by the 'non-damsel' calling the shots literally. |

I couldn't care less about who's calling the shots in a bondage scene, least of all when it's a hot sassy chick bent over, wearing undies, being spanked & ballgagged repeatedly. More like WE were spoiled just by having such a scene on mainstream TV! I'm only in this for the visuals & sounds....and my eyes & ears damn sure got what they wanted. ;-) |

Where? I didn't see any alert for this. Guess I'll check the ALERTS page again for possible repeat. So what was the name of the episode, anyone know? Maybe can find it on NetFlix...I believe the series is out on DVD. |
