| This played last night on the Cozi channel on Comcast, they show old Avengers episodes also. I hadn't seen this scene since it first aired and I remember her on a couch and crawling across the carpet to the phone jack. But it seemed all of that was cut last night and she was shown at the phone jack trying to plug it in only, no crawling. Did anyone else see or note this cut? |

The fact is that many women enjoy watching women-in-danger scenarios. They might not have the exact interest we do in the restraint part (although some certainly like such roleplay in real life), but many just generally enjoy heroines being endangered and having to deal with such situations. Not all women have adverse reactions to damsel-in-distress scenarios. Far from it. Soap operas made a meal out of endangered women for decades, and their audience was almost entirely female. It's not hard to find a lot of entertainment oriented toward women that thankfully has produced great scenes for us. I know I'm already in danger of the Mod telling me to cut it out, so I won't expound much further. I'll just say that human psychology is a complex thing, and sometimes the things we like to see line up well with the scenarios many other people like to see, even if they're not interested (as we are) in the details. |

At least 75% of the scene was cut. Not only the crawl across the floor, but another scene where she gets teased while laying on the couch. |
