| On some channel called El Rey, new to my cable system, they have just started an all day marathon of season one Relic Hunter episodes. There is a whole slew of entries in the database. I have no idea if any of them is any good, scene wise. |

Out of the several thousand I’ve seen, I put it in my top twenty, and that says a lot. What really makes the scene is some creative camera work by episode director Paul Stanley. It begins with Peter receiving a phone call from tonight’s villain, who is out for revenge. He tells Peter he has a friend who wants to talk to him. The camera then centers on the receiver in the villain’s hand as it is passed from right to left. Suddenly, into the frame from the left comes Miss Albright’s taped-gagged face in close-up profile. Her eyes are wide with fear as she takes the receiver in hand. Then, to emphasize the baddie’s nastiness, he viciously and painfully rips the tape off of her mouth so she can talk to Peter. The excellent emoting by the actress really makes the scene effecting. According to the IMDb, there were 114 episodes of Peter Gunn, of which 84 featured Lola Albright’s character, Edie Hart. She should have had six to eight bondage scenes over the course of the series. But, according to our database, this was her only bondage scene in Peter Gunn. How very, very disappointing. Well, as I’ve always said, if you give us only one bondage scene, dear lady, make it a good one. And she did. The IMDb entry for the specific episode (“Bullet in Escrow”) has an excellent photo of Lola Albright and Leonard Stone (playing the villain), with Miss Albright sporting a very neatly applied white tape gag. |

Show ran for 66 episodes and we could not get Tia Carrere, at her peak of hotness, gagged despite tons of perfect setups and tie-ups. Back in the days of the syndicated shows, which usually delivered full treatments for the female leads. I can't believe Tia is only 52. Still looking incredible. So she was just 19 when she had her A-team scene. Thought her "Top of the World" gag scene was her best, on screen gagging and pissed off look while gagged. |
