It wasn't showing up for me on netflix, but I found it online. There must be a difference in episode numbers, because those scenes didn't happen in episodes 2, 47 and 48 in the version I found. They occurred in episodes 1, 59, and 60 respectively.

In episode 1, the lead actress is tied and cleave gagged to a tree at 47 minutes in. Breaks free from the tree, tries to alert a nearby passerby, but is caught and carried OTS, and handgagged with another cloth over her cleave gag.

In episode 59, the episode opens up with the lead actress tied to a post and cleave gagged. She gets rescued and captured again, and near the end of the episode, she's again seen tied a to a post and cleave gagged(a different colored cleave this time).

And in episode 60, another hottie gets tied and cleave gagged with a white cleave. This damsel gets shot with an arrow at the end of the episode. Brief shot of her on the ground in the next episode, presumably dead.

Some great close ups and beautiful damsels. Worth the time if you're into cleaves and period pieces.

Doom Patrol
Based on this IMDB picture (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8416494/mediaviewer/rm2839634944 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8416494/mediaviewer/rm1735287808 ) for Doom Patrol's episode "Cyborg Patrol," it looks like Diane Guerrero (and a blonde?) get duct taped to a chair. Has anyone signed up for to the DC Universe streaming service to confirm?

Re: Stressed to Death (Lifetime Movie Network) 5/24
Intriguing that a tv film premiering later this week has absolutely no information available about it. The scene, if long, sounds very good and Sarah Aldrich and Taylor Blackwell are very attractive ladies. Is there a link to the promo picture? The way they're bound sounds rather unique. Nothing like a good mystery to catch my attention. Obviously the film must have some details out there. Strange how these LMN films often have multiple titles

Pics are of the same actress. She gets duct taped to a chair for interrogation halfway through episode 12 and rescues herself via superpowers. No gag.

Not only that, on the LMN web site, on the schedule grid, they skip from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday with no listing for 8 p.m.

I checked a couple of the actresses Twitter feeds, and no mention. I'll record a bunch of LMN movies today in hopes of catching the promo. Last night, they didn't air it during Psycho Granny.

There wasn't a promo photo, it was a promo clip on Lifetime.

I'm thinking that the attractive B&g brunette featured in the promo is lead-credited Gina Holden, while blonde Sarah Aldrich is the gun-holding villainess.

"Stressed to Death" (2019): From ZapToIt TV listings:
"A former Navy corpsman risks everything to save her family from a devious revenge plot."

Oh awesome! Doom Patrol is like my favorite show out right now but I'm a few episodes behind. I'll add this to the DB when I get caught up unless someone else beats me to the punch.

That would be awesome. Love to see her B&G. Aldrich is OK, but Holden would be nice.

Didn't take long. Promo dropped in the first morning movie. Definitely Holden and definitely Blackwell as the Dids. Looks like they are held in separate rooms. The daughter DiD is well above the magic number in case anyone is wondering.

Sorry for the bad quality, just snapped a couple pics.

Gotta love Lifetime ending promo graphic, with Gina B&G.

Per the linked trailer (jump to 2:10), looks like the *entire* female cast ends up bound, cleave-gagged and barefoot in a closet. This sounds like a flick that might've already been mentioned on the board, though...

Yes, guilty on that one. Should have checked.

Old-fashioned melodrama damsels
I’m a fan of the old-fashioned melodrama perils where the poor sweet damsel in distress is tied helplessly to the railroad tracks by the dastardly moustache-twirling villain in a cape and top hat. Or he ties her to the buzzsaw or a post in the abandoned mine with lit dynamite at her feet. Is anyone else a fan of these scenes? They still show up in modern tv shows and movies, like my favorite scenes in the film Maxie and the shows Sabrina and Providence (unfortunately Maxie and Providence were missing the villains and opened the scenes with the damsels in peril). Share your favorites if you’ve got any.

Re: Stressed to Death (Lifetime Movie Network) 5/24
Looks like that'll be an excellent scene if the image is any indicator. The duct tape gag looks well-applied and I love how thickly swathed her tape bindings are, too.

Yes I am a fan too. My favorites are the older ones when tying her to the rail road tracks was a lot more common. The old serials, Superman series, Sky King, The Avengers all had them back then.

Which leads me to a different question. And, I bring this up now, since Cimarron Strip is being replayed on Heroes TV channel right now. Did anyone back then use the old TV Guide to find scenes? Way before the internet days, I have a very vivid memory of buying that magazine each week, and spending much time going over every page looking for any movie or shows which could have a scene.(Cimarron Strip was among the very first times I found a scene like this. I recall the one sentence description on TV Guide saying something like "Dulcey is kidnapped by a crazed criminal."). Plus, I thought Jill Townsend was the ultimate gal too.

At any rate, thought I would never see this scene ever again. Even though it is not long, and I remembered it to be maybe better than it actually is - (I saw it online last week) - it still has a special memory for me.

So, did anyone else use TV Guide as much as I once did?

Re: Stressed to Death (Lifetime Movie Network) 5/24
Those pix look great this could be one of the scenes of the year. The bindings even though hands in front look so secure. Can't wait to see Taylor in the same predicament! Thanks heaps to everyone who has posted about it - from the heads up onwards :)

Re: Stressed to Death (Lifetime Movie Network) 5/24
Gina Holden. Wasn't she Dale Arden in the Flash Gorden series years back? Beautiful lady indeed. And Taylor Blackwell epitomises girl-next-door cuteness. Hopefully no putz action if so maybe in another room too so easily edited out. Verrry nice Folks

Re: TV Guide magazine

I sure did. In the pre-Internet era, TV Guide magazine was about the only media to alert one to not only a possible new scene, but also re-runs of a favorite old scene.

I'd skimmed through each page (No, there wasn't an "Edit" > "Find" functionality) for movie or TV episode descriptions that included a word such as "Kidnapped", "abducted"; "hostage"; "captive"; "forced"; "missing", etc.

And maybe once every two years, no guessing was required because there would be a full-page or 1/2-page promo still featuring a series regular or guest star as a Did. Then again, sometimes the staged promo still was much better than what actually aired (such as Cheryl Ladd's "A Death in California").

Re: Stressed to Death (Lifetime Movie Network) 5/24
Impressive, most impressive. Once captured the ladies really won't be going anywhere - can't see them freeing themselves either so they'll have to be rescued. If they spend, say, roughly half the film in this predicament then woah nelly we are in for one helluva treat. Could be up there with the benchmark efforts; Web Cam Girls et cetera

Re: Stressed to Death (Lifetime Movie Network) 5/24
Shame the two ladies aren't in the same room love it when helpless damsels eyeball each other while mmmphing away etc but if separate rooms lead to longer scenes overall then it'll be worth it. Hopefully much gloating by the baddie. Female captor and captives, nice tapework. Bliss.

I never saw any such promos - must have been after my heavy TV Guide times. But I sure saw lots of DiD stuff, virtually all of it on shows I never watched otherwise. Other early ones I recall included Hawk, Bracken's World, Alias Smith & Jones, That Girl, lots of westerns and detective shows. And, of course there was no VHS & recording then, so usually it was of the "see them just once variety."

Or Kim Basinger in "Dog and Cat." The promo shot was the only gag part visible when the show aired.

I recall a couple of DID images from the 1980s, Cybil Shepherd in "Moonlighting" and Wendy Kilbourne in "Midnight Caller." Both shown gagged.

More recently, Vanessa Marcil was shown tape-gagged prior to her Las Vegas classic in TV Guide. I also recall the Fresh Prince episode where they were all gagged, the promo I think just showed Will Smith, but the hope was Karyn Parsons would get it too. And she did.
