For some reason, the old Laura Branigan scene from Automan comes to mind. I don't know why. You remember her. She did that song Gloria. Funny, I've been hearing that a lot lately. Odd. |

Loved that scene, I remember seeing in the "next week" preview that she was a guest star and spent the next seven days hoping against hope that she would get a scene. Then being on pins and needles throughout the episode and then the pay off when she's is bound and gagged in the back of that van. Didn't have a VCR yet so I thought that was the only time I'd see it. Luckily I snagged it off Foxnet a decade later. It's out on DVD now. And yeah, heard Gloria on the radio a couple of days ago. First time in years. |

The Laura Branigan DiD scene is one of my top ten all-time favorites. It had everything a good bondage scene should have: A stunningly beautiful damsel (most important), kidnapped and imperiled by a wicked dastard. Then bound, gagged, and left alone to contemplate her fate a la Sweet Gwendoline. An exciting takedown of the villain. Then, the rescue and onscreen un-tying and un-gagging of the damsel by the hero. And finally, hero and damsel share a kiss while her ankles are still bound. As great as that scene was, I often think about how much better it could have been with a few embellishments, such as some slightly heavier (and more visible) cordage, some bindings at the knees, and a more substantial cleave gag. But what would have made this scene really fantastic would have been to have Miss Branigan’s character hogtied and furiously struggling a la Heather Locklear in “The Obsession”; and rolling on her stomach to show her hands actually tied behind her back (a frequent deficiency). Of course, what made the scene really affecting was when hero and damsel referred to each other as “my knight in shining armor” and “my damsel in distress”. A pity that their characters were star-crossed lovers whose romance could never be. I mean, what would people say? She’s corporeal and he’s holographic. If you have only one bondage scene in your career, make it a good one. |

This was a two parter, too, with said cute princess (Caitlin Carmichael) spirited away by an evil-doer-type who left her cousin (A putz, unfortunately) bound and gagged. Dwight was off to rescue her as the inevitable '...To Be Continued' flashed across the screen. Could be yet another scene next week. |

Trailer for the new film starring Luc Besson's latest muse Sasha Luss certainly is kick-ass. Sort of the full-on action film that last year's Red Sparrow failed to be. Sasha looks too lethal to be captured, sort of a female John Wick. But you never know she might find herself in some form of restraint to further the plot. We can only hope |

I kept coming back to 1972's The Abductors, occasionally known as Ginger 2. This one is the most bondage filled movie I have ever seen. And, shockingly - the whole thing is available for free viewing online It is on the site that starts with *X* followed by *Hamster*. The title of the movie on this site is "Women In Trouble". It is just incredible! |

The Ginger series(along with A Place Called Today)certainly were a DiD-lover's dream. Can't think of too many other film or tv series that delivered as much. The 1960's Avengers wasn't bad, especially the last season with Linda Thorson. The Adventures of Justine in the mid-Nineties also. Cheesy as hell but the nubile Daneen Boone got the full just about every episode. We need a modern equivalent of these shows - the new Nancy Drew series has possibilities. The very nature of it is tailor-made for peril. Still there's always Lifetime. They've definitely got DiD's on their agenda happily for "Us" :) |
Wednesday May 22 22:07:36 2019 Mini Skirt Mob |
Two mornings away, a very seldom seen movie is being shown on ChargeTV. The Mini Skirt Mob, from 1968 - I may or may not have seen this once many moons ago. If so, don't remember anything about it. (Usually not a good sign!). At any rate, see alerts. |
