Laughably thin tape; they open their mouths, it falls off lol. Compare them to the images on the Video Page from the 1944 film Ghost Catchers - that white tape is around 3inches wide and looks amazing. Film budgets may sometimes be miniscule but they can always buy larger tape ;) |
Thursday March 25 01:42:31 2021 Valerie Perez IG Story |
This is not much, but currently on her instagram she just posted on her IG story about her messing around with being chained while in houdini mansion, cosplaying as Zatanna. Wish there was a gag tho, because, well, Zatanna... |

Thursday March 25 01:55:52 2021 Zatanna movie |
I've read in the news that an agreement has been reached to produce a movie featuring the DC Comics superheroine, Zatanna. As most of us on this forum know, Zatanna and Black Canary are the two female DC Comics characters who are bound and gagged the most often, due to the vocal nature of their powers. I'm wondering whether the actress who is chosen to play Zatanna will be bound and gagged in the movie? The most obvious method of neutralizing the vocally derived powers of Black Canary and Zatanna is to gag them, and nearly every captor these ladies have does. It is exceedingly rare that either one of these ladies isn't gagged by a villain who has somehow managed to capture them. However, I recall in an episode of the short-lived series Birds of Prey that the actress who played Black Canary wasn't gagged when she was captured, but instead had her sonic scream neutralized with some device attached to her neck. I'm afraid that the screenwriter or producers may follow this example and not have Zatanna gagged if she is imperiled. |

Thursday March 25 13:18:58 2021 Best looking cleave scenes? |
What are your best looking cleave gagged scenes? Some of mine: No Second Chance (Une chance de trop) - Probably one of my all time favorite cleave scenes. The cleave is perfectly placed, looks like it’s tied tightly, thick enough to keep her mouth jammed open. There’s even great cinematography around her gagged face; they show it from the side so you can see how much it’s keeping her mouth open, they show it from the front so you can see how thick it is. One of the best cleave gag scenes IMO; I wish there was a little more “mmph”ing but that’s a nitpick. The Wrong House (Lifetime) - This one is another great cleave; it’s knotted, (which is always a plus), she gets gagged onscreen, (another plus), it’s tied tightly, and it’s a towel cleave. It’s also so visibly tight on her that her cheeks bulge out on the sides; it really looks great and she actually looks pretty helpless in the movie just from that gag. Young Indiana Jones (Amanda Ooms) - This is a pretty famous cleave scene, and even though I typically like the look of thicker cleave gags (especially since actresses can so clearly talk through thin ones), this scene is an exception. The cleave looks great on her, and it’s tied so tightly that even though she can speak through it, it muffles her speech and kind of distorts her mouth I’ll throw one more out there: Castle (Reckoning) - Stana Katic’s cleave gag in this episode looks absolutely amazing, and the cinematographers knew it. There are multiple close up shots of her gagged face, close ups of her lips around the gag, shots of her chewing on the gag, etc. Excellent cleave gag scene, and one of the best looking cleaves out there. Might add more later if I remember some other good ones, but what yours? |

a few more: Little Evil (Evangeline Lilly) - This is one of those 'the damsel makes the gag' type scenarios. The cleave itself looks great; black cloth cleave and i'm pretty sure it's knotted. But what makes it great is the gag-talk and struggling. She can kinda talk through the gag, but it still looks great on her and c'mon... It's Evangeline Lilly! The Avengers (Honor Blackman) - The episode features one of the best black and white cleave gag scenes i've seen, and it definitely stacks up against more modern day scenes. Honor Blackman is cleaved gagged with a cloth that isn't too thick, but my goodness is it tied tight. Her cheeks bulge over the gag and her mouth is effectively jammed open. It wouldn't surprise me if she couldn't say one coherent word through this gag. Excellent scene, albeit short. 12 Monkeys (Amanda Schull) - Just a great looking cleave; White cloth, relatively thick, tied in the perfect spot. It doesn't look crazy tight, but it keeps her mouth open and she looks helpless during the scene. Also, its Amanda Schull getting a full treatment scene with great looking cleave, so i'm not complaining! |

Amanda McBroom, who might be just as famous for writing the song, "The Rose", was also a torch singer, and I got to see her perform in a very small lounge here in Chicago many years ago. I was sitting about three feet away from her. Although the performance was very entertaining, my mind couldn't help but wander back to her illustrious acting career in Hawaii. Never got up the nerve to ask her about it. |

Apparently an early preview showed a glimpse of Alexandria DeBerry (who plays the daughter in the movie) tied to a chair & cleave gagged. It seems that, for whatever reason, they used a scene from a DIFFERENT Lifetime movie ("Murder in the Suburbs"), which DID feature Alexandria in the bondage scene described. But nothing in "Deadly Excursion". |
