Lucinda Dooling gets a fairly long one in the 1981 drive-in flick LOVELY BUT DEADLY. It's up on YT. Handgag scene starts around 1h.12m.

trying to figure out movie from probably 1990s
I'd like to know the name of a movie from probably the 1990s. I may be off in some of the following details but this is the best I recall:

A man has been brainwashed or hypnotized or psychologically controlled in some way by a group of ringleaders to do crimes, including murder people. The hero is investigating these crimes and starts to get close to solving it.

There is a gorgeous set of twin ladies who are escorts and have information that could implicate the ringleaders. The ringleaders instruct the brainwashed man to "take out [kill] the twins", to prevent them from talking. The brainwashed man hires them as escorts (or something - I think the man already knows them, which is part of the information the ringleaders are trying to protect). The man convinces the twins to be tied up as part of a kinky sex game. They agree, and just as he finishes tying them, one of them says in a very cute, pleading voice, "Please, promise you won't hurt us!". Unfortunately, right after that, they come to an unhappy end - I think he stabs them.

The hero still closes in on figuring out the crimes. Then they send the brainwashed man to get the hero. To do so, he kidnaps the hero's girlfriend or secretary. If I recall correctly, the man uses a string of Christmas tree lights to tie her and wraps her up pretty well. Of course the hero frees her and saves the day, and I believe he says to her something like, "you look like a Christmas tree"!

Anyone know this movie?

Anyone know this movie?

Don't remember all the details, but that sounds like "I The Jury" from sometime in the '80's.

Thanks for the fast response. From the scene database on this movie, that has to be it!

Record number: 1164

Title: I, The Jury (1982)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Leigh Harris, Lynette Harris, Laurene Landon

Description: A 1982 version of Spillane's novel starring Armand Assante as Mike Hammer. A psycho ties up and strips two gorgeous twins about 53 minutes into the movie. Lasts about a minute. Really nice.

In another scene Velda (Landon), Mike's fabulous looking secretary is tied to a chair placed on a table with a string of Christmas tree lights. Landon's scene occurs just after the 80' mark.

Probably this one. My clip came out to over 2 minutes of just handgag footage once I edited out the parts that cut away from the girl.

Record number: 9080

Title: Angustia (1987) aka Anguish
Medium: Movie
Actress: Talia Paul, Clara Pastor, Jasmine Parker, Isabel García Lorca

Description: The story in Anguish involves the "movie-within-a-movie" concept: Angel Jove plays killer who's whacking patrons in a theatre during a film called "The Mommy," which stars Michael Lerner as a deranged optometrist who's also killing patrons at a movie theatre, and Jove's character is inspired by the Lerner character. Got that?

Anyway, at the 1:00 mark, and older woman (Parker) goes to the back of the theatre to investigate Jove and is quickly handgagged and killed. Nothing really of interest at all.

Less than a minute later, Jove sneaks up on our young star, Talia Paul, and handgags her while holding a gun to her head. Ms. Paul is handgagged for the next eight minutes, with the film cutting between shots of Jove and Paul and the movie they're watching. Most of the shots of Ms. Paul are direct closeups or extreme closeups with only a couple of medium shots from the side mixed in. She struggles briefly on and off during the eight minutes, shifting her attention from the killer to the movie screen. It's hard not to like her limited amounts of muffled cries (and crying) as well as her facial expressions, not to mention that cute little button nose of hers. At the 1:08 mark, Jove finally uncovers her mouth, but holds onto her as he begins shooting patrons in the theatre. He ends up standing in front of the screen holding Ms. Paul hostage. At the 1:15 mark, the daughter in the movie playing onscreen (Lorca) is handgagged by Michael Lerner. It lasts for a few seconds.

Finally, near the end of the film, Clara Pastor, Ms. Paul's friend who had escaped the theatre during the killing, is handgagged in a hospital elevator after a visit. Very quick scene as well.

For handgag fans only, obviously, but almost surely a Top Ten scene for those interested.

Its very btutal scene and not of my tastes but for sure this one

Title: Irreversible (2002)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Monica Bellucci

Description: In this controversial French movie, Alex (Bellucci) endures the longest uninterrupted hand-over-mouth scene I've ever seen in a mainstream movie (5 minutes long); she's hand-gagged during her brutal rape in a tunnel. The handgag starts at 45m. Lots of mmmphing, bit of struggling, well-lit scene: a must see!

How about this....

Title: Deadly Lessons (1983)
Medium: TV Movie
Actress: Ally Sheedy, Diane Franklin

Description: At 1hr 14mins, Marita (Sheedy), a student in an exclusive girls' summer school, goes into a basement to get a suitcase and is grabbed and handgagged by a killer who has been menacing the campus.

She wakes up to find herself tied to a chair with thin rope wrapped around her upper body and thighs, her hands bound behind her. Her ankles tied together as well. She is gagged with wide white tape. She wears a white top and white shorts.

The villain, elderly caretaker Mr. Hartigan, sits in front of her and gives a monologue. Marita sits still, looking frightened. She is ungagged at one point, but Hartigan doesn't believe what she says. He puts the tape gag back on, puts a record on the record player, tells Marita to "sit here quiet and still and listen to the music" and leaves.

Marita tries to drag her chair to the phonograph. Failing that, she manages to stand up and hop across the room, still tied to the chair. She reaches the record player, pulls back the needle with her chin and turns up the volume knob with her elbow.

Alerted by the noise, the rescuers enter at 1hr 21mins.

Medium: Movie

Description: At 70min in, Inger gets into her car, and is grabbed hand over mouth by a thug in the back seat. His gang shows up and she is pulled out from the driver’s and into the back, handgagged all the time. She starts pleading as the hand is removed and the car drives off.

Last night I found myself in the unfortunate position of viewing somebody else’s TV, and stumbled across this truly awful medical drama / soap opera.
A female cast member was tied to a chair and gagged rather unconvincingly with a thin strip of white cloth.
From the very start, and continues on and off throughout the episode.
A must see for those with access to BBC I-player and a penchant for slightly weather beaten middle aged damsels.

City Hunter: Private Eyes 2019
So near the end, Kaori gets captured when she tries to get in a mob boss's high tech hide out. Her hands are zip tied and then she is temporary rescued by a friend turned foe. Later Ryo saves her. Later in the end credits, there are scenes from previous adventures, including one where Kaori is held hostage in a train station, rope bound in nothing but her white lace underwear.

I only caught the second half of it and missed the chloroforming. About half way through, Nancy and George wake up throughly tied to chairs in some old shed. Their hands are bound in front and tied pretty tightly to there feet which are also tied together. Also their necks are tied to wooden beams behind them in such a way that when they struggle it tightens. On top of all this, there’s a death trap straight out of the books involving a candle slowly burning down that will ignite the entire shed when it burns down. Towards the end of the episode, the rest of the gang finds them and rescues them in the nick of time.

Good lighting, good rope work, and solid close ups; this could have been scene of the year material if only they were gagged. I hope we’ll see more like this from the series if they steer away from more of the supernatural stuff.

Wow, sounds like gags should have been applied. Some things just not meant to be. Still infuriating.
