"DB Corrections with regards to a scene from the period series "Grandeur et misère des courtisanes" (aka "Splendor and Misery of Courtesans", according to The New York Times) by Maurice Cazeneuve," "The scene takes place in the opening run of the 5th part (considering the 6x85' version, since I read about a 9x52' version broadcasted in Belgium). Meanwhile, the entry has been deleted in the DB" "Problem: who's the damsel? As a character, she's Contenson's daughter whom Vautrin kidnaps in a way to put pressure on his father. As an actress, she doesn't appear in any cast. The only info I could get is that she would be some relative of the late Paulette Dubost (her niece?) who's credited as a maid in the same movie. More infos would be welcome." Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes (1975) |

I seem to recall composing a Database Entry for this rather grisly movie, but I couldn't find it in the voluminous Database. Was it ever submitted, and if so, may I ask why it wasn't accpeted? |
