Let me put my 2 cts. The so-called "Affaire du collier" is one of the scandals that did contribute to discredit the Queen and her Court before the Revolution. Plus, according to IMDb, Christopher Walken is credited as Cagliostro who's supposed to plot against the Monarchy in the early 80s. Thus, "pre-Revolution" doesn't sound unappropriate that much.

Filou, your grasp of French history is clearly superior to mine. I was going by the allusion to Mme. Antoinette's having a little taken off the top, which obviously occurred during the revolution. It appears the film covers a period from before, then into the revolution ... so simply stating that in the description should set this matter to rest, non?

I think the clip from 'Lagardere' on the next update (Wed) explains French History rather well ....Vive la France.

You do have a point there, Major. Three great scenes in the same miniseries, wahoo!

No Major, you're needed in *Japanese* History 101

Just after you left, didn't a scene come on.
