Thursday February 21 12:44:39 2002 What to do about extensive rewrites |
Would it be appropriate to post to the Discussion Page about extensively rewritten scene descriptions? Frex, I just updated the scene description to "Highway to Hell" which was highly inaccurate. Frex, it said there were no closeups of the heroine bound and gagged -- there are. And it left out numerous scenes of Swanson in cuffs and in a cage.
The movie's floating around on cable right now, I think people might like to know what's really in it. Is there or should there be some mechanism for telling folks about extensively rewritten database entries? |

Is there > or should there be some mechanism for telling folks about > extensively rewritten database entries? > Brian can decide on a mechanism, but I'd think posting about significant additions and/or corrections to an entry at Discussion makes sense. I sometimes add an addendum/correction to alerts when I see that the quoted entry is off, then I change the entry. |

Like to encourage asking about a scene on Discussion first, if haven't seen it. Do this all the time myself, fellas like CM normally confirm them, and never had a problem with Mr Moderator over asking about them. Don't know why more don't ask as well? Save us a hassle huh? |

Other than a post to Discussion, none. I don't really see what other mechanism there would be, unless we added a check box for a major rewrite, and displayed a list of recent ones or something. I question the need for that. Anything with a software change will definitely not happen until certain other decisions are made here in the upcoming weeks. |

Thursday February 21 22:19:36 2002 Microwave Massacre |
in the entry for this movie, the tied up girl is also gagged with a cloth stuffed into her mouth. The gag isn't mentioned and this is a very strong selling point for many of us (myself included!!)
also, I got the scene some time ago in trade & the guy had the actress listed as Clair Ginsberg. The Database lists her as Sarah Alt. Since both are in the movie, it could be either, and I"ve not seen the flick all the way thru. Someone more in the know may want to confirm her identity. But the gag is definitely in there! |

"in the entry for this movie, the tied up girl is also gagged with a cloth stuffed into her mouth." JP: Got it, thanx for the assist here. "The gag isn't mentioned and this is a very strong selling point for many of us (myself included!!)" Probably another of the fellas who enter based on DiDcaps? Quite a few in the DB are suspect for this reason, so thanx for getting this one. "I got the scene some time ago in trade & the guy had the actress listed as Clair Ginsberg. The Database lists her as Sarah Alt." IMDB has character Evelyn, played by Sarah Alt But I'll post this up, figure one of the old-time/experts with confirm it. Thanx |
