At about 16 minutes in we see the man being lead to the gallows. Melinda alernately takes his place. She is wearing jeans and a tight sweater. She has leather straps going over her shoulders and connected by short chains. Another chain runs from the shoulder harness down between her breasts to a wide leather belt on her waist. Handcuffs go through a large metal loop on the belt and secure Melinda's wrists. One more chain runs from the waist belt down to the ankle cuffs connecting chain. Once at the top of the gallows Melinda's ankles are pulled together and secured with a leather strap. A noose is placed around her neck and a hood is pulled over head. She is dropped through the trap door and hung before coming back to reality. Occurs around the 20' mark (with commercials) |

She slips out of the hotel unchaperoned and gets kidnapped by drug smugglers. They cleave-gag her with a thick white cloth and bind her wrists behind her back. Several nice close-ups of her face seated in the back of the van as the crooks drive to their drug factory in the hills. Later, they remove her from the van (nice hair bob!) and take her into the cave workshop, where she's bound to the leg of a stout table. They remove the gag, thinking no one can hear here even if she screams. Action starts in the last half. |

Simon defeats the villian then carries her over the shoulder out of the room. She's wearing boots. |

Her arms are tied in front with jump rope. She's not gagged at the start, but later in the scene her green scarf is used as an overgag. The scene lasts several minutes, but there are only three or four quick shots of her gagged face before the gang comes to the rescue. The animated title sequence also has a brief scene for Daphne, hopping along bound hand and foot (wrists behind, rope around her upper torso) and gagged over her nose with blue cloth (per a couple of her scenes in the original series). The title sequence wasn't shown in the NICKELODEON airing. *Note*: the DVD contains "behind-the-scenes" footage. There are several shots of the scene which were deleted from the movie. Included are several good closeups, with Ms. Gellar looking right into the camera. There are also a couple other extended angles of her gagged. |
