Tales From The Darkside
Day: Tuesday October 11 2011
Time: 7:30 AM Eastern
Channel: Chiller
Record number: 7063

Title: Tales from the Darkside
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Deborah Harry

Description: Episode: "The Moth"

Deborah Harry plays Sybil, a witch who did a spell to die and return. Her soul was to exit thru her mouth, and she told her mother to tie a cloth over her mouth, and catch whatever came out. Her mother obeyed her request, so Deborah is cloth gagged for a few scenes, then you can see something moving in the gag. Her mother takes the gag off, and catches a moth that flies out of her mouth.

Interesting scene. You don't see very many voluntary gag scenes, OR scenes where the damsel is gagged, but not bound.

Johnny Guitar
Day: Tuesday October 11 2011
Time: 10:00 PM Eastern
Channel: TCM
Record number: 1097

Title: Johnny Guitar (1954)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Joan Crawford

Description: Odd Western with Crawford as a saloonkeeper accosted by a mob led by her main rival (Mercedes McCambridge), searching for a young tough she's sheltering. When they find him hiding under a table, they decide it's time for a little frontier justice. After a brief struggle, they grab Crawford and lead her outside, where she and the boy are put on horses with their hands tied behind their backs, then ride off with the mob to the light of the flickering flames of the torched saloon. They stop underneath a bridge over which nooses are thrown. After the boy is done in, Crawford's horse is led to the remaining noose, but the men have second thoughts. For a moment she sits with the noose around her neck while McCambridge solicits a volunteer to slap the horse out from under her, before taking the job on herself at Crawford's suggestion. When she does, it carries Crawford off to safety, an unseen cohort having slipped onto the bridge and cut the rope. He is shown untying Crawford and helping her down off the horse a few seconds later.

Batman
Day: Tuesday October 11 2011
Time: 11:30 PM Eastern
Channel: The Hub
Record number: 1900

Title: Batman (1966)
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Diana Ivarson

Description: Episode: "Flop Goes the Joker" (2.58)

Baby Jane Towser (Ivarson) encourages the Joker's artistic tendencies, but the Joker decides that he'd make more money stealing paintings by Jackson Potluck, etc., then actually painting them. In the last fifteen minutes (according to my old notes), he binds and cleave gags (over-the-hair) the deliciously overacting Ivarson with thin dark cloth, the better to pull off his nefarious crime. The gag comes off at one point so she can answer Joker, but later goes back in place. Eventually the evildoer carts her, still bound and gagged, off to Bruce Wayne's mansion, but Batman and Robin are on the scene to rescue the misguided lass.

One of the better late Batman episodes.
