The scene begins with a wide shot of them all laid out on the ground, hands tied behind their backs. We first see an unconscious "Marguerite" (Rachel Blakely) who is cleave gagged. Unfortuately there's no closeup of Rachel and it's a blink and you miss it scene and hard to see. Then the camera pans to "Roxton" and "Veronica" (Jennifer O'Dell) who are struggling to free themselves. He manages to pull a knife from O'Dell's belt and cut her hands free. Then we are treated to an excellent closeup of O'Dell cleave gagged. It's quick and somewhat dark but she looks great. She leaves her gag on while she unties her feet. When we next see Blakely she's just been untied but the gag is still hanging around her neck. |

Record number: 1334 Title: Friday the 13th: The Series Medium: TV Series Actress: Cyndy Preston, Genevieve Langlois, Christa Daniel, Nancy Cser, Louise Robey Description: Episode: "The Charnel Pit" (1990) An episode from near the end of the series' run, clearly inspired by the movie Waxwork. Micki (Robey) is taking a course from a professor rather obsessed with the Marquis de Sade-and from whose class a couple of young women have disappeared. It seems he's come into the posession of a two-way painting done by the Marquis, through which someone can pass either from the professor's house in the present to the Marquis' mansion in 1790 Paris, or the other way-provided that for every person who passes through one way alive, another must die going in the opposite direction. At about seven minutes, Preston, as the first student to vanish, becomes the first victim, being shown briefly chained up by her wrists in the Marquis' dungeon during the opening credits, after being shoved through the painting. Later, Micki comes snooping around just as the professor is carrying the second victim (Daniel) into his house. She winds up going through the painting during the struggle that ensues after following him inside. A servant girl (Langlois) with her wrists shackled, whom the Marquis has taken captive, sees Micki emerge from the other side and, when she gets a chance, passes through herself, ending up dead on the floor of the dungeon-like room in the professor's house where his side of the painting hangs. This is witnessed by Daniel's character, who sits in the room with her hands tied in front of her to an overhead rope. This scene is about 24 minutes into the episode. Meanwhile, back at chez de Sade, Micki has assumed the guise of a noblewoman for whom the servant girl worked, who was scheduled to visit the Marquis. At about 40 minutes, she sits down to write a letter explaining who she really is and what has happened to her in case she never gets back to the present. As she describes her impressions of the Marquis, there are two brief head-and-shoulders shots of Cser, who plays another noblewoman sent by the authorities to spy on the Marquis, being whipped by him, as implied by the sound effects. It's also implied she's chained up at the wrists and stripped to her underwear. About 10 minutes later, the Marquis figures Micki out, and chains her up by her wrists after showing her the body of Cser's character lying on the floor of a cell. As he's ripping her blouse open down the back, her present-day cohorts are coming to the rescue. Touching the painting reveals the scene in the Marquis' dungeon, resulting in a final fight scene which yields several good shots of Micki writhing and struggling in her shackles. |

She opens a set of double doors and is grabbed by several masked figures dressed in red, who fasten her into a cross-shaped frame with her arms outstretched. The gunslinger comes upon the scene and proceeds to blow away the red guys, then stands before the frame as the scene dissolves into a room in which Danner stands before him with her wrists bound in front with a red sash. He pulls the sash away and they embrace. |

Then about an hour later they run the scene again, but this time without the credits on the screen. Warning she is the ex-wife and she does end up dead on screen in a Dragnet sort of way, but you don't have to record it. |

The gag scene is very short (blink and you miss it), and the whole thing happens towards the end of the movie. There's also a second scene: About an hour into the movie, a topless vampire chick gets tied to a bed with leather restraints. |

Versions of the film usually aired on British TV are the same, but the first cut I ever saw (also on TV) had a scene in which Redford started by saying, "I need your car." He proceeded to tie her up against her protestations, and just before he gagged her, she said, "This is not fair!" There were several almost-closeups of her face being gagged and struggling as Redford left. The order of scenes is also changed in subsequent versions; the original sequence made the narrative much clearer. |
