Record number: 213 Title: Four Rooms (1995) Medium: Movie Actress: Jennifer Beals, unknown Description: This movie is a sequence of four separately titled stories. Beals' scenes are in the second segment, titled "Room 404: The Wrong Man", and come in around the 25' mark (without commercials). She's shown tied to a chair and gagged with a rolled-up black cloth (possibly a sock) held in place by a thick length of white rope, cleave-with-stuffing-style. Long sequence, lasting about 10mins, with lots of closeups and mmmphing as Beals tries to communicate with the bellboy (Tim Roth) who has stumbled in on her, then scenes with her gun-toting husband, Beals (still bound and gagged) and bellboy. Played for laughs. Prior to this, about 18' in, Roth hallucinates while viewing a Klaw-type photo. The two lingeried women, one with wrists bound behind, come to life in his delusion, and there's a little light spanking; somewhat in the style of Bettie Page. A few seconds' worth of nostalgia. |

Record number: 18899 Title: Arrow Medium: TV Series Actress: Charlotte Ross; Emily Bett Rickards Description: Episode: "The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak" (3.05) Felicity (Emily) and her mom (Charlotte) are home when thugs invade the house, knock them down, and put a sack over their heads. When you next see them, both are tied to chairs side by side, hands behind back, no feet tied and no gags. The bad guy unties Felicity so that she can perform a computer hack as he points his gun on her mom. He leaves temporarily and zip ties her hands to the desk (she sends a message to the Arrow via the computer). The idiocy of leaving a computer expert tied to the computer console while left alone says a lot about this show’s writing. Shortly thereafter he unties her to use as a hostage, when the Arrow arrives to save the day.... And then she unties her mom. |

Record number: 1769 Title: Jupiter's Darling (1955) Medium: Movie Actress: Esther Williams, Marge Champion Description: The plots of Esther Williams' movies defy description, but here goes: Hannibal's men captures the lovely Amytis (Williams) and her slave girl (Champion) outside the gates of Rome as the two are trying to catch sight of Hannibal. After about 50' into the movie, the red-haired Amytis takes Hannibal (Howard Keel) to a temple so that she can show him a way into the city or Rome. Hannibal singing brings the Romanian army to investigate. Amytis then screams, which causes Hannibal to handgag her. He proceeds to silencing her with a two piece gag and binds her wrists behind her back. Hannibal fights several soldiers, while Amytis sits there and watches. He then carries her over his shoulder to his chariot, and escapes from attacking Roman soldiers with the mewing Williams seated in the back of his chariot. As he rolls into camp, Hannibal proceeds to throw her out of the chariot with her still bound and gagged. Her slave girl arrives and proceeds to ungag her. Amytis is dragged into Hannibal's tent with her arms still bound behind her back in order to beg for her life. He eventually unties her. A while later, Hannibal finds out who she really is and has her chained up. We only see this when the ex slave man enter the tent to unchain the slave girl. Amytis (Williams) is chained standing against a pole with her hands down beside her. Her blonde slave girl (Williams) is chain sitting disconcertedly on a pillar. The man takes the slave girl with him, but she goes back into the tent and wants to be chained up again. She manages to knock him out and proceeds to excape with Amytis The script (fashioned by Dorothy Kingsley) includes these two priceless lines: "Chain me up again!" and "I'll deliver you to your lover and throw you at his feet, bound and gagged." |
