Slow motion shows scenes of a woman with her hands tied above her, and another lying on a bed with her hands bound in front of her. The two shots are repeated a few times. Lasts a couple of seconds. At 17 minutes you see Sondra Izano (Joanne Chew) shoving herself underneath a metal cot with blankets hanging over the edge. She's wearing a nightgown and curlers. Her wrists are bound in front of her with a white cloth. The bindings are a bit loose. The picture is blue and white (black and white with a blue tint all over). Starting at 18 minutes there is a lengthy scene where Sharon (Cherish Lee) is in a bathtub with her wrists tied to the faucet pipes with torn strips of towels. She's moaning and wailing. She's wearing a nightgown and has curlers in her hair. Speck is standing against a wall, smoking a cigarette. He has a revolver tucked in the waistband of his pants. He tells Sharon he's sorry, then pulls out the revolver, points it at her head, and shoots her. Then he walks out. The scene then changes to the police investigators examining the scene; the woman is still in the tub and still bound to the faucet. Combined scenes last about four minutes. At 24 minutes, the two investigators walk into a large room where two dead girls lie on a cot. One of them, Doris (Eliza Swords), has curlers in her hair; she also has a teddy bear next to her, and her wrists are bound together by strips of a blanket. Very brief. A little after the above scene, they come to another dead body. One of the investigators postulates what he thinks Speck had done; as he does so, there are brief scenes illustrating his words. One of the scenes had Speck tearing a long strip of cloth off a blanket. At 26 minutes there is a two-second view of Sharon struggling in the bathtub with her hands tied. At 30 minutes a police detective is looking at crime scene photos of the murdered girls. He is holding one of Sharon tied up in the bathtub. At 49 minutes there is an extended flashback scene to the student nurses' dormitory in blue and white, where Speck is with all the captive student nurses. He's got one under a blanket and pretending she's a ghost, going "Wooo!", while the others are whimpering and crying. He rips a blanket in strips, then yells at them to tie up their feet. He takes one of them with him out of the room, puts her on a cot in another room, then stabs her repeatedly. The scene cuts over to the remaining students, some of whom you can see with their wrists tied in front of them. As he comes back into the room, Doris begs him to let them go. He pulls Doris up off the floor and takes her away. Overall the scene lasts about 4 minutes. At 60 minutes the flashback continues into the large room where two girls on a cot were seen earlier. He carries Doris over his shoulder as she struggles, puts her on the cot, attaches her wrists to a corner of the cot with another strip of blanket, then procedes to rape her. The scene lasts for a minute. At 64 minutes you see the first woman he stabbed is still alive and moaning. You can see her wrists are still bound. He comes into the room, comments on how whores die more easily than she does, then proceeds to strangle her with a strip of black cloth. He then lies down next to her on the cot. At 68 minutes you see the six remaining student nurses sitting on the floor, still bound hand and foot. Miranda (Lynna Lee aka Yi Lin) is holding out her bound hands begging the others to untie her. Bernice (Alexis Adkins) tells her to calm down, that this will be over soon. Speck comes into the room at that point and says "Who's next?" That starts a new storm of whimpering. He looks at Sondra, then Bernice, and decides Bernice looks "spoiled enough" to him. He pulls her to her feet and takes her away. Sondra decides at that point to pull off her ankle bonds and go hide. One of the others tells her she has to stay so she won't make it worse for the rest of them. Sondra ignores her and scuttles off. The scene cuts over to Sondra entering a dark corridor with a lot of doors. She tries one door, then another, then finds one unlocked, enters, and crawls under the cot. Her wrist bindings are pretty loose at that point, but she doesn't think to take them off. Then Speck comes in with Bernice. The camera stays focused on Sondra, but you hear muffled screams from Bernice. Speck and Bernice struggle on the cot for a bit, then Speck hits Bernice several times, and Bernice becomes still and quiet. Speck takes off his sweater, pulls out a long strip of blanket, then climbs on top of Bernice. The scene ends with Sondra, wrists bound and hands over her mouth. Four minute scene. |
