Record number: 578 Title: The Toolbox Murders (1978) Medium: Movie Actress: Pamelyn Ferdin Description: Ferdin (whom some might know as the voice of Lucy van Pelt in the 1960s-70s era Charlie Brown films) gets the full treatment for a lengthy 14mins in total, which all takes place throughout 5 linear sequences. 29mins: Ferdin is handgagged in her apartment by a masked villain. She puts up a MIGHTY struggle, mmpphhing loudly and thrashing around for 30secs until she is finally rendered unconscious (although it is not made clear how. Chloroform on his glove, perhaps?) In this 1min sequence she wears a white lace blouse, jeans and brown shoes. 50mins: Now sitting on a bed surrounded by pink cushions and pillows, Ferdin is shown wearing a just-below-knee-length white lace nightie. She is cleave gagged loosely with a very thin strip of white lace (you're unlikely to see a more thinner cleave gag in DiD history!), with her hands neatly bound in front with a blue ribbon and feet tied with a green ribbon. A long pink ribbon, looped underneath the mattress, lashes her wrists to the bed. Another loose strip of white lace, also looped under the mattress, appears to lash her ankles to the bed but pointlessly so, as it barely even makes contact with her. This sequence lasts a continuous 10mins, whereupon Ferdin's captor, the Toolbox Murderer himself, engages in a long and drawn-out dialogue with her. At 54mins he ungags her, leaving highly visible red marks around her cheeks (despite the thinness of the cloth, it obviously must've dug in tight), and unties her hands to let her eat some food. He then re-ties her hands at 58mins and re-gags her at 1hr 0mins. 1hr 5mins: At night, the Toolbox Murderer's nephew peers through a window into the room where Ferdin is being held and observes her trying to chew away vigorously at her wrist bindings (with the gag still in her mouth). She looks around and notices him, but quickly turns her attention back to the Toolbox Murderer, who returns to the room. He lays down beside her and starts singing a lullaby; cringeworthy stuff. This sequence lasts 2mins. 1hr 17mins: Ferdin continues to sit perfectly still on the bed as the Toolbox Murderer babbles on about her being his reincarnated daughter, until his nephew enters the room. Things now take a more sinister turn as the latter reveals that he used to have sex with his late cousin when they were young. After 4mins, he and the now-enraged Toolbox Murderer exit the room as Ferdin is left to look on. 1hr 24mins: Having killed his uncle in a brutal fight, the Toolbox Murderer's nephew re-enters the room, with Ferdin mmpphhing for him to untie her. However, he ends up taking an exceptionally long time in doing so because the ribbons are too tight for him to loosen; only a pair of scissors manages to cut them away, as well as her lace gag. Again, red marks are seen around Ferdin's cheeks as she is finally freed from all her bindings after 2 drawn-out minutes. Weary and rubbing at her aching wrists, she is blissfully unaware that her liberator has the same perverse feelings for her as he did for his late cousin. He makes this clear at 1hr 27mins, forcing her to once again struggle with all her might as he rapes her offscreen (albeit this time without any handgagging). She is next shown unbound and makes her escape by stabbing him, also offscreen. All 5 sequences are very well-lit, with lingering full-body and close-up views; many individual close-up shots of Ferdin last for minutes at a time. Whilst gagged, she makes lots of teary-eyed expressions at her captor but hardly makes a sound or tries to struggle; she barely even says anything whilst ungagged. |

Record number: 1971 Title: The New York Ripper (1982) aka Lo squartatore di New York Medium: Movie Actress: Alexandra Delli Colli, Daniela Doria Description: In the first scene, at 46-52mins, Jane (Colli) is shown in a motel room, being tied to a bed onscreen; her hands are tied upper spreadeagle to the headboard with thin white rope, feet unbound and not gagged. She also wears sheer black lingerie and stockings. Her captor slowly teases her by pulling the front of her panties to the side but goes no further, which leaves the sexy blonde frustated and bemused. After a few minutes an exhausted Jane has been stripped naked (some full frontal views), with whip marks on her chest and stomach. A shoutout on the radio reveals that she has willingly hooked up with the resident serial killer, which she quickly realizes, much to her terror. She spends the next 4mins quietly struggling to untie her hands using her teeth, her wrists showing realistic rope burns in the process. When she finally gets free, she exits the room while he sleeps, but is soon caught by him in the hallway and stabbed to death. The next scene is at 1hr 14-16mins. Blue-eyed blonde Kitty (Doria), the killer's latest victim, has been nabbed offscreen. She is also tied upper spreadeagle to a bed, feet tied together, and gagged with a very thin strip of white translucent tape. She wears only a pair of sheer white panties, bare breasts on show, and arches her back in a sexy way during as she squirms and mmpphhs. We get some great full-body views and close-ups of her, but the killer soon cuts her body and face gorily with a razorblade. |
