Record number: 862 Title: Fear (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Reese Witherspoon, Amy Brenneman Description: 86 minutes in, during the climactic scene, Ms. Brenneman's character and her husband are captured by their daughter's crazy ex-boyfriend. Both are handcuffed behind the back and gagged with duct tape. Brenneman's gagging and part of her binding occur onscreen. The bad news is that there's more husband gaggage than wife gaggage; the good news is that the bad guy carries the husband off eventually, leaving us with a few nice shots of Brenneman by herself. (She is saved by her son, who brings her the key to the cuffs in a sequence which is implied but not shown.) Earlier, at the 71-minute mark, the daughter (played by Ms. Witherspoon) is cornered in a bathroom stall, handgagged and fondled by her ex-boyfriend. Scene goes on for over a minute. |

Record number: 36 Title: Batman (1966) Medium: TV Series Actress: Yvonne Craig Description: Episode: "Catwoman's Dressed to Kill" (3.14) At 11mins (of the Blu-ray release), Batgirl is spritzed with some sort of knockout concoction by Catwoman, played in this instance by Eartha Kitt. She's then shown in the villain's lair a minute later, bound wrists in front and attached to her tied ankles with yellow rope. After a few minutes she is tightly cleave gagged onscreen with a bright purple scarf that goes well with her costume. Later, in the obligatory deathtrap scene which begins at 14mins, she's strapped down to a table (still gagged as before), with a fabric-cutting saw inching towards her. More at 16-18mins. All appears lost, until Alfred, disguised as a flower child (or granddad, more accurately), arrives in the nick of time at 20-21mins to free her. Caveat: All but the beginning of the lair scene (before Batgirl's gagged) has been cut from the TV LAND showings, as well as the start of the deathtrap sequence, when she's carried in bound as she was in the lair. |
