Record number: 17585 Title: My Gal Sunday (2014) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Elizabeth Higgins Clark, Erica Carroll, Rachel Blanchard Description: The plot of this movie is too ridiculous to try to explain, but begins with the ex-Vice President and his Congresswoman wife now acting as private investigators. The movie opens at a garden party, where a cute girl, Annie (Elizabeth Higgins Clark), who has been convicted of murder is brought in wearing handcuffs in front of her and joins the guests at the table. Rachel then goes all Perry Mason, and identifies the real killer, Kim (Erica Carroll). Kim is then led away by police with her hands cuffed behind her back. A killer with a grudge against a prison inmate comes up with a convoluted plan to kill him. Approx 80 minutes into the movie (including commercials), Rachel falls into his hands while trying to rescue her kidnapped parents. She is ziptied into a wheelchair, and a bomb is strapped to her chest. While the killer is distracted building the bomb and ranting and why he’s doing what he’s doing, Rachel manages to palm a pair of snippers. When the bomb is secure, he rolls her into the back of a Department of Corrections bus and takes off for the prison. Even though she is ungagged, she doesn’t bother to yell out when the bus reaches the prison gates, but sits quietly while the driver talks to the guard. She does manage to cut her restraints with the snipper while the killer’s target is brought out to the bus, and then deactivates the bomb. |

Record number: 169 Title: Big Trouble in Little China (1986) aka John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China Medium: Movie Actress: Suzee Pai, Kim Cattrall Description: Ms. Pai is shown tied down to a bed, hands tied AOH to the headboard, and cleave gagged with a thick pink/white terry cloth at around the 30' mark (no commercials). There are several nice close-ups. As she is about to be wisked away by the demon, we can see that Ms. Pai's shoes have been removed during her captivity. There is a close up of her bound stocking feet when the demon cuts the rope that ties them to the bottom of the bed. Around the 50' mark, Ms. Cattrall is shown in a cage laying on her stomach in a very strict hogtie. She is also tightly cleave gagged with a thin black cloth. Her hands are bound behind her back, and her ankles are tied together. A rope extends from her ankles over her left shoulder, around her neck, then back over her right shoulder and down to her bound hands, effectively putting her in a self-choking hogtie. After she is rescued by Kurt Russell, she flees the warehouse with her gag still in place. No mention of Ms. Cattrall's hogtie or why she is the only one tied up in the audio commentary track While the others drive away from the warehouse, Gracie (Kim Cattrall) is again grabbed by Lo-Pan in beast-form, and gets placed with her wrists slapped in chains bolted to the floor. Note: On the Blu-ray and possible the dvd release, there is a deleted scene in the special features. One of the scenes shows a deleted scene of Ms. Pai. The footage is from old stock and some betamax footage. The camera plans up from Ms. Pai's feet to her head as the lady tells her sorry for the bruise on her face. |

One of the bad guys throws a bunch of ziptie cuffs at a woman (unknown actress) and yells at her to cuff the rest of the employees. You see her start to cuff a woman (unknown actress) whose hands are on her head. At 25m you see a bad guy pulling tight the ziptie cuffs on the woman who'd been cuffing the others, then shoving her to the floor. At 49m Cathi Rose (Lucy Liu) is entering her apartment building when a bad guy comes up behind her, shoves her against the wall, and handgags her. At 79m you see Rachel Montana (Famke Janssen) in the back of a car, hands implied to be bound behind her back, feet not shown, and cleave gagged with a white cloth (another white cloth is also visible underneath as mouth packing). Dim lighting here, but great close-ups and an "mmmph" or two. At 87m you see Rachel sitting in a chair in a room. Her cleave gag is thinner and tighter, with packing no longer sticking out. The sequence cuts away just as he begins to untie her onscreen. |

Record number: 302 Title: Whispers in the Dark (1992) Medium: Movie Actress: Deborah Unger aka Deborah Kara Unger, Annabella Sciorra Description: One major scene, one minor scene, and plenty of bondage-themed dialogue in this thriller about Ann (Sciorra), a psychologist, who struggles to deal with her own sexual fantasies. Blonde beauty Eve (Unger) is a patient of Ann's who continually relates her fantasies of being tied up for sex. At 6-7mins, during a session with Ann, Eve describes in a sultry voice and graphic detail how her date tied her hands overhead to some pipes and made love to her from behind. A bemused Ann can only listen with a distant stare and quick visualizations of all this in her own mind, until Eve starts teasing her about blushing at the story. Immediately afterwards, Ann recites the session on her Dictaphone, albeit in a monotone voice and clearly troubled by her own reaction earlier. She also says the word "bondage", and again at 14mins in another dictation about a different patient. At 24-25mins, in another session, Eve is no longer feeling as sultry. Deeply distressed and with tears in her eyes, she repeats the story of her lover tying her hands in front with a necktie and arms overhead to the pipes with a length of rope; all the while Ann has more visualizations of this. Eve continues, saying how this time he placed a noose around her neck, a chair under her legs, and threatened to kick it out from under her because he "owns" her. Cue more sex scenes. Ann continues to have vivid dreams in her sleep about Eve's bondage fantasies at 37mins. Only a minute later Eve is found dead at her apartment, hanging from the ceiling by a noose around her neck; just as she herself described. She is naked and her hands are unbound. At 49mins Ann is shown a well-drawn illustration of a woman on her knees, fully nude, hands tied overhead with rope. This is part of an investigation on Eve's murder. At 55mins Ann enters her apartment at night and finds another of her patients, sex-crazed John (who drew the aforementioned illustration and is a suspect for murdering Eve), waiting for her. The very next sequence shows Ann lying face-down on the floor in a stringent hogtie; her hands are tied tightly behind her back (wrists crossed) with white rope, ankles also tied and bent all the way towards her wrists, and she is tightly cleave gagged with a thick white cloth. This is about as good as a hogtie gets in a mainstream scene! After a short while and a wonderful close-up of Ann's gagged face, John yanks the cloth out from between her teeth (which takes some effort because of how tightly it was tied), revealing another medium-sized piece of white cloth stuffed in her mouth as packing. She then opens her mouth really wide so that he can fish it out, but in a nice visual touch he leaves it on the floor right next to her face. Both the ropework and gag are very effective; it genuinely looks as though Ann cannot say a word or go anywhere. After much tense dialogue and threats of burning her with a cigarette, John finally frees her hands at 1hr 0mins. However, she spends about more 20secs untying the rest of the ropes around her feet, as well as pulling off the gag cloth from around her neck. Good lighting in Sciorra's scene, with excellent close-ups and full-body views aplenty. She wears an all-black outfit consisting of a tight-fitting minidress with long sleeves, pantyhose/tights and high heels. |

Record number: 18854 Title: Bones Medium: TV Series Actress: Emily Deschanel Description: Episode: "The 200th in the 10th" (10.10) Deschanel and co-star David Boreanaz are having a passionate moment in a closet at 33mins, until being rudely interrupted at gunpoint by the villainous Tamara Taylor. At 36mins a large sack is unzipped just enough to show Deschanel lying inside, unconscious, and loosely cleave gagged with a bright red patterned scarf. The sack is soon zipped up again and dumped onto a waiting DC-3 which is about to take off. Boreanaz then arrives and manages to jump aboard, setting off an action-packed scuffle between himself and Taylor for the next 2mins. Once they are airbourne, Deschanel wakes up and begins to struggle, mmpphh and grunt inside the sack as Taylor and Boreanaz fight it out. Taylor eventually makes a rather hasty exit from the plane, leaving to Boreanaz to unzip the sack and ungag Deschanel onscreen. It is left unclear as to whether she was actually bound in any way. |

Record number: 15356 Title: Red (2010) Medium: Movie Actress: Mary-Louise Parker Description: The first scene has Parker sitting in the backseat of a car with a large strip of duct tape over mouth. Her wrists are duct-taped in front. She makes a lot of muffled speech during this scene. The next scene has Parker sitting on a bed, arms spreadeagled and tied to the headboard with her legs tied together in front, and another large piece of duct tape over mouth. The tape gag is applied on-screen, and she actually tries to dodge the gag when her kidnapper first tries to put it on. Not as much muffled speech this time around. Same scene trying and succeeding to get her hands free. With her legs still bound, she hops off the bed, her breasts bouncing nicely, and you get a quick view under her very short skirt, plus she's wearing tights. She also wears knee-high black boots, and prior to the first scene, she had stripped a little, taking off a coat and another shirt. Not long after the second scene, she's injected with a knockout drug. All of this happens within the first 30 minutes of the movie (assuming you view it without commercials, either on the original theatrical release or on DVD). Toward the end, Parker, who is being held hostage by rogue CIA, is taken to meet Willis and his cronies for a swap. Her hands are cuffed in front in several shots. She has her hands tightly clasped as if she's used to wearing handcuffs. |

Record number: 19421 Title: Text to Kill (2015) aka Truth & Lies Medium: TV Movie Actress: Sarah Desjardins, Emily Tennant Description: Quite a lengthy scene for Taylor (Tennant) at 1hr 14-21mins of this Lifetime movie. Before this, at 1hr 11mins, a brief flashback is shown of Barb (Desjardins) being chloroformed with a white cloth (although the bottle actually says "ether"). Loud muffled squealing from her. The flashback is narrated by Cody, who is out to avenge his dead parents. Shocked by this, Taylor tries to make a run for it but gets knocked out by a punch. When her scene begins, she is still out cold, now bound to a chair with a hefty amount of duct tape; her hands are taped to the armrests, more tape around her chest, but her feet are unbound. Just as Cody is about to gag her with a strip of tape, her cellphone goes off. At the other end, still working at the police station, her mother Allison (Dina Meyer) is rightfully worried because she has discovered the truth about Cody. She rushes to her daughter's location, but this takes a while. Meanwhile, Taylor comes around and whines at Cody to let her go. He taunts her for a few minutes, but when he spots Allison arriving at the house (via security cameras), he quickly gags Taylor onscreen with a wide strip of duct tape. Lots of mmpphhing and squealing from her. When Cody and Allison fight it out elsewhere in the house, Taylor knocks over a vase from the table and tips her chair over. She grabs a shard of the broken vase to cut herself free from the tape, but we are not shown her ungagging herself. |
