Record number: 1848 Title: Hillbillys in a Haunted House (1967) Medium: Movie Actress: Joi Lansing and Linda Ho Description: Country singers bound for Nashville take refuge in an old haunted mansion due to a lack of nearby motels. Soon they realize that the house isn't haunted but the secret headquarters of foreign spies after a secret rocket fuel formula. This movie is an awful mishmash of country corn and horror humor, but benefits from a scene where the platinum-haired beauty Boots Malone (Lansing) is tied to a chair by the spies and cleavegagged with a thick white cloth, with some nice close-ups. Action starts when a gorilla laboring in the employ of the enemy agents grabs the lovely boots at the 48:40 mark (no commercials). At the 50:20 mark, we see Boots seated on a chair cleave gagged, while Dr. Himmil (John Caradine) and Gregor (Basil Rathbone) bind her wrists and ankles on-screen. The scenes cut back and forth between Boots and her friends who are searching for her. At the 55:10 mark, Madame Wong (Linda Ho) removes Boots's gag, but she remains bound. When her answers to the spies' questions are unsatisfactory, Maximillian (Lon Chaney Jr.) drags her over to an iron maiden. Aided by some timely assistance of the ghostly General Beauregard, Woody and Jeepers capture Madame Wong. At the 69:45 mark we see her with each wrist handcuffed to one of her fellow enemy agent. Scene lasts for ten seconds. The (very) buxom Boots is wearing a tightfitting teal blue shirt and tighter white slacks. The shapely Madame Wong is wearing a shape-hugging blue dress. |

As the hero comes in to check on her, the bad guys tie her hands in front of her and gag her with a bandanna OTM. A shootout decides the issue. |
