Record number: 16 Title: The Avengers (1961) Medium: TV Series Actress: Linda Thorson Description: Episode: "Split" (6.5) The evil Dr. Constantine has Tara chloroformed and then brought to his hospital in order to transfer the mind of a sinister criminal into hers! Tara is seen unconscious strapped to a moving table with what looks like gauze bandages. When she comes to and starts to open her mouth a plastic, or rubber ball, is dropped into her mouth and the gauze around her chest is pulled up to cover her mouth. While the gag looks lame -- it's tied to the table, not at the back of her neck -- when Steed lowers it, we see that her mouth has a wad of cotton in it, which Steed quickly plucks out. Also A LOT of moaning and struggling in this rather long scene, close-ups too. |
