Record number: 252 Title: Play Misty for Me (1971) Medium: Movie Actress: Donna Mills Description: Ms. Mills, as Clint Eastwood's lover, is held captive at her home by Jessica Walter, who is obsessed with him. Right at the end of the movie, at 1hr 32-33mins, Mills is shown lying on the living room floor; her hands are bound behind her back (bonds never visible, nor her feet) and she is tightly wraparound gagged with white fabric tape. She looks up helplessly at Walter, who menaces her with a pair of scissors. She then starts cutting Mills' hair. It takes a while until we see Mills again, in a brief sequence at 1hr 38mins. Eastwood arrives and discovers her lying on a bed. When he approaches her, still bound and gagged, she starts mmpphhing to warn him about Walter, who attacks him from behind and stabs him. More mmpphhing from Mills as a vicious scuffle takes place. Frustratingly, when Eastwood later frees her, none of it is shown onscreen; instead, they simply emerge from the room at 1hr 40mins. |
