Record number: 862 Title: Fear (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Reese Witherspoon, Amy Brenneman Description: 86 minutes in, during the climactic scene, Ms. Brenneman's character and her husband are captured by their daughter's crazy ex-boyfriend. Both are handcuffed behind the back and gagged with duct tape. Brenneman's gagging and part of her binding occur onscreen. The bad news is that there's more husband gaggage than wife gaggage; the good news is that the bad guy carries the husband off eventually, leaving us with a few nice shots of Brenneman by herself. (She is saved by her son, who brings her the key to the cuffs in a sequence which is implied but not shown.) Earlier, at the 71-minute mark, the daughter (played by Ms. Witherspoon) is cornered in a bathroom stall, handgagged and fondled by her ex-boyfriend. Scene goes on for over a minute. |

Record number: 15810 Title: La Casa de al Lado Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Karla Monroig Description: Episode: Chapters 102-105 After spending a few episodes unbound recovering from her gunshot wound, Rebeca (Karla Monroig) gets her hands tied behind her back again by killer Gonzalo and her legs tied at the ankles. Later in the episode, he cleave-gags her again with a white cloth. Some moaning and struggling by the bound and gagged Rebeca as she tries to alert an investigating Carola from the basement, scooting over to knock over some basement clutter. In chapter 104, Gonzalo comes down to the basement with a gun, but can’t bring himself to kill the terrified bound and gagged woman. At the end of the episode, Rebeca sits up as she hears her sister’s voice upstairs talking to Gonzalo. Chapter 105 begins with Rebeca struggling across the floor to the stairs in a short scene attempting, in vain, to alert her sister. Rebeca is finally discovered and rescued at the end of this episode. |
