Record number: 273 Title: Sleeper (1973) Medium: Movie Actress: Diane Keaton Description: Kidnapped and comically handgagged by Woody Allen at 37mins, she is shown some seconds later sitting on a fallen tree, hands tied behind with white rope, feet also tied with rope, and cleave gagged with a thin white cloth. Lots of struggling as he ungags her once, prompting her to scream loudly, then re-gags her, and finally ungags her again. They continue bickering for a further 2mins, after which she gets released offscreen. Much later, at 1hr 2mins, she is briefly handgagged again (albeit less comically) by a rebel against the futuristic government. Scene is well-lit, with a good variety of close-ups and full-body views. Keaton wears a short white dress which shows a lot of leg, and is barefoot. |

Record number: 16011 Title: Playback (2012) Medium: Movie Actress: Ambyr Childers Description: Approx 1 hour into the movie, Ambyr is walking across a parking lot wearing her light blue field hockey uniform when she falls for the old “can you help me unload my van” trick. She finds herself knocked cold, and when she wakes up she is sitting in the back of the van, hands tied behind her back and a nicely applied duct tape gag sealing her lips. Her abductor makes a couple of stops and comes back to threaten her a bit before taking her to his house. She sits on the floor in the basement, getting very dirty, still tied and duct tape gagged; while her abductor kidnaps her boyfriend. The boyfriend is tied to a chair in another room while Ambyr and the maniac watch him on a monitor in the basement. Left alone briefly, she manages to untie her ankles and runs up the stairs to her boyfriend. She leans down so that he can peel off her gag, and then bites and rips the tape holding him to the chair. After he unties her hands, they both make a run for freedom. The entire scene takes approx. 20 minutes of real time, with the action shifting back and forth to other locations. |

Record number: 1376 Title: My Favorite Martian (1999) Medium: Movie Actress: Elizabeth Hurley Description: At 38mins, Hurley is kidnapped at a street festival; she is handgagged, amidst some mmpphhing, then knocked out with an injector device to the neck. When we next see her, at 42mins, she is strapped down to a gurney whilst a bunch of scientists run tests on her to see if she is an alien. After a minute of silly dialogue she is released. Here she wears an all-white outfit consisting of a sleeveless top (lots of cleavage) and tight trousers. Later, at 1hr 0mins, she is surprised in her dressing room by the REAL alien (Christopher Lloyd) who assumes her likeness and voice. Her actual capture occurs offscreen, but about a minute later she is shown in a rather fetching situation; she is bound to a chair with a variety of different coloured scarves (wrists to armrests, feet together) and OTM gagged with a thick red scarf. She mmpphhs angrily and squirms in the chair with all her might, all shown in various short sequences throughout 1hr 1-3mins, with one last look at her 1hr 4mins. For this scene she wears a red outfit consisting of a short-sleeved shirt (no cleavage this time), a very short skirt (so short that we almost get an upskirt) and black heels. No release shown. Lastly, at 1hr 24mins, she is shown on a TV chained (willingly) to a fence at a protest. About 10secs in length. All scenes are well-lit, featuring close-ups and full-body shots. |
